The fiancee got me to go see the current Sex And The City movie this past weekend. I am not a "huge" fan, but I didn't mind going because some of the stuff in that series was interesting (ok, I admit.....).
Did anyone else notice the several shots in there promoting intactness? I couldn't help but see the obvious placement of some artwork in a restaurant scene, and also the quick clip of the Latin guy in the shower. The latter one was funny because the Samantha character knew he just had too much masculine power, and that she couldn't top that! :D
All this from the same show that in one of their Season 2 episodes while on HBO had them all referring to intact men as icky and disgusting? Was this turn of perspective in the movie an about-face relative to the earlier poor script choice? There had to be some judicious realization, or they wouldn't have put this in there. Or is it because the show has gained popularity outside of America, where intact is the norm? And what does this say about the future of films in general?
Geez, I sound like the Carrie Bradshaw character asking questions for her column.....
