I just received notification of this via a UK Parliament mailing-list email.

Readers from the UK familiar with the role of these organisations in overseeing medical practitioners and patient care might like to raise any concerns with the Health Committee.

Posts on this forum that might be helpful in preparing anti-circumcision responses have been tagged United Kingdom (http://www.foreskin-restoration.net/forum/tags.php?tag=united+kingdom).

The deadline for written submissions in 17 July 2012.

Excerpt:

The Health Committee is today announcing arrangements for its accountability hearings with the General Medical Council and the Care Quality Commission.

The Committee proposes to take evidence from these bodies as follows:

General Medical Council: Tuesday 4 September
Care Quality Commission: Tuesday 11 September

There are no formal calls for evidence for these meetings, but the Committee would be pleased to receive written submissions on the work of either of these organisations in advance of the meetings.
