Dear Expecting Parent:

Wondering what to do?
Well, you should watch this as part of your research:

It's about 7 minutes, but you should watch it all. Your son will thank you.

I am promoting my web site as information geared toward parents. My real goal is to get signs and billboards around Ohio for my site and then possibly go to Satellite radio if the donations grow enough.
Please look at my site and refer your friends too.
Thanks,
-Zahn

There are far more convincing clips available. Your one is relatively gentle, which may be a good introduction to parents, but the shock effect of the more vivid clips may have more effect, and better show the horror the parents will be putting their new born baby boy through.

The written descriptions I recently posted of the feelings of mothers hearing their baby's screams and seeing the damage done may also touch a mother's heart.

One quite good clip REQUIRING SOUND is:

The answer to the question in your post is: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER

Zahn, have you contacted anyone at NOCIRC yet? They've done billboards in the past, and I'm sure they would have connections you can use for getting support.

Look at the "Nurses" section, then "Nurses' stories" and in particular "I never got used to it".

This touches on the procedure, but does not go on to speak of the enormous damage done.

I will not have my children genitally mutilated, sexually, traumatized, brain damaged, sexually diminished, tortured, possibly die or get a complication or infection and suffer.

Do not mutilate your kids. You know the pain of mutilation via restoration, and that over 100-200 infant boys die annually and that's just in the US from genital mutilation.

The question has no business being asked here.

There should be warnings on any posts that contain pictures and or videos of circumcisions taking place.

Seriously. This can ruin a person's day if they are not vigilant.

I have no desire to watch any of these videos again. They always make me sick, they disturb me in ways I can not shake. But I do think prospective parents should see them.

Yes, and circumcision can ruin a guy's LIFE!

I come to the opposite conclusion. It can ruin a person's day, but by doing so it can indirectly help save other people's intact genitals.

It would be wonderful to place country-wide commercials in theaters. I imagine a black screen with just the word "circumcision" jumping across the screen (mimicing the rapid eye movement commonly caused by trauma triggers), accompanied by the cries of a boy who is being circumcised. There shouldn't even be a normative message attached (like "circumcision is bad"). It would be even more powerful if it was just the bare facts speaking for themselves and people were left to their *emotional* reaction rather than being given a "hook" (like e.g. any sort of explicit message) for immediately rationalizing.

No, on a forum for men who are basically all on board with the message but are seriously traumatized by having had their genitals cut up, you should put a warning on graphic videos of kids getting their genitals cut up.

No, it is right to show what is happening in a hospital near you. It is wrong to hide it away and pretend all is fine. Boys are being permanently damaged, damaged for life both physically and psychologically. This should be shown. The doctors doing it should be shown and named.

This is part of the strange world we live in where it is all right to abort babies but it must not be seen, and it is all right to circumcise as long as it is hidden away. And the perpetrators of these acts are allowed to keep their anonymity. Let the parents scurry away to a room down the corridor where they cannot hear their baby's desperate, pitiful cry as he has his penis mutilated.

Word spread about who was performing the abortions. When snipers started picking off the arbortionists one by one, that's when the arbortion rate in the U.S. started to drop drastically.

Circumcision is the #1 most commonly performed surgery in the U.S., with more than a million circumcisions performed in hospitals every year. Because the vast majority are performed on newborn boys, many or most of these are done by obstetricians.

There are a few doctors who refuse to perform circumcisions for various reasons, but I'd bet that most obstetricians are cashing in. There is extra reason to do so if kickbacks can be obtained on sale of the baby's foreskin.
