You can use the straps for sleeping with the TLC-X but I don't recommend it because of night time erections. I tried it once at night with straps and won't do that again. Instead I use the long pusher rod with rubber bands at night and put my penis up next to my belly. I sometimes wear just the cone at night when I'm giving my penis a rest.
