Has anyone experienced any problems with Varicose veins?

Medline: Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted, painful superficial veins resulting from poorly functioning valves.

My situation: I have never had any pain or discomfort but clearly have an artifact from circumcision. A large vein runs straight up the top of the shaft to my scar. Then turns a sharp left making a complete doughnut about ¾” diameter just to reach back inline a ¼” the other side of the scar. Fortunately there isn’t much spidering, just one small branch visible.

There is no way to pull skin onto the TLC tugger without including parts of this vein. The majority of any discomfort using the tugger relates to this vein. It is little more than a peculiar itch not unlike a skin irritation but it can radiate down the vein and across its branches. If you have ever hurt a vein in your hand you are familiar with the unique sting/throb/ache from a blood vessel injury. This is about 1% of that pain. Whenever felt, the tugger comes off until there is no more symptoms – a few minutes to a few hours later.

I drink a lot of water during the day so about every hour the tugger is off a couple minutes to urinate. In replacing it, effort is made to maximize comfort and also reposition it slightly different. This seems to work. Also, for now I hope to put more pull on the inner skin at least until some distance can be gained from the vein.

At night, I wake up after a couple of hours or an erection with discomfort, pop the thing off, go back to sleep. So I cannot tug much at night – a small price to pay to prevent injury. Perhaps just use the cone at night.

From the start I’ve been concerned how this vein will respond to restoration. I’ve started around CI-1 last summer with manual tugging, am nearly CI-3 now using the tugger a couple of months. The goal is at least CI-7. With the skin I have now, rolling it up actually flips the ‘doughnut’ upside-down as might be expected. No discomfort or sensation at all from doing this. So I think things are ok – just require monitoring.

Anyone out there with similar problems or concerns?

A few years before I restored, I had a bulgy vein that just sort of appeared in about the spot you describe. It made all intimacy uncomfortable. I was really depressed about it, thinking "this is with me for life, now." My doctor didn't know much, but said to just keep pressing it back inward any time it was bothering me.

It went away after about 6 months.
