View Full Version : Hello, an introduction seems in order.

Hello, I'm new here (obviously). I've been thinking about this for a few years now and I'm ready to learn a bit more and finally decide whether it's for me.
I was circumcised when I was about 7 I think because I asked for it.
My dad is circumcised (as most from his generation where) and as every kid admires his dad I saw a circumcised dick as manly and I wanted to look like me dad. So I asked.
I also asked because I always had drops of pee in my underwear because my foreskin would trap some which apparently I didn't like much at all.
I don't actually remember all of this but my parents have since told me when I asked one day.
I don't loathe them, or resent them or anything it's just something that happened that I've since because unhappy with. I did ask after all.

I first became aware that maybe it wasn't so good when in high school I had a semi-gay experience (as many men do, I'm not really afraid to admit it on the net). A friend and I wanked together and compared, etc. He was uncircumcised and I first though it looked better having even skin tone all the way up, but I also noticed how it glided over his head (the gliding action).

I don't have unsatisfying sex, or any extremes, and I'm not wanting to rage a war on all circumcision (most people are happy with it, I don't really want to tell people they shouldn't be if they are); this is a personal thing for me, as I'm having increased dissatisfaction with my penis, and a man shouldn't be unhappy with his own penis, he should cherish it.

Well that's my long introduction.

Coming here, I want to learn about the different techniques and choose one suited to me, and get an idea how long it may take an what I'm in for. Also discuss progress and generally join the community.

My goal for restoring would be not total restoration but C-4 to C-7, right now I'm at C-1 maybe C-2.
Would I have some gliding action with that coverage, I know it wouldn't be the same as C-8/ C-9 but would I have some?
Besides some gliding action, cosmetics it a big reason too. I don't like the look of uneven skin tone, and particularly when erect having shaft skin only just past half way and then a different color and looking skin. I want the same looking skin to be all the way up to, or just behind my head.
I don't think I have very demanding goals but there changes would make me feel much better about myself.
Also I have some hair on my shaft (something which bothers me quite a bit), would restoring cause the hair on my shaft to migrate up even further?

Are my goals unrealistic?

Welcome!

Restoring causes the shaft skin to grow and be longer. The part of the shaft skin that gets longer is typically between the hair line and your glans. So, you should notice your hair line moving closer to your scrotum.

Hi - welcome to this forum.
I hope you get answers to your questions as well as support.

You sound much the same as me - I don't have any hang ups or rants or raves about being circ'd either - and sex is much the same as before but perhaps a little more 'sensual'.

My circ was just the product of my parent's post war era. Whilst in most things they did their own thing, with me they followed typical conventional medical belief and circ'd at birth. remember cleanniness is next to godliness

I hold them no grudges or anger - it was something that just happened even though now I wish that it hadn't. (Perhaps if only I had been born 10 years later - my parents would have been given a choice. When my own children were born there was no discussion between the doctors they were left as they were - the pendulum had completely swung the other way).

All my friends were circ'd - so in and out of the pool and beach I never really saw anything different. It wasn't until I started high school that I really came up front with my first uncut. Out of a group of about 30 boys the only uncut changed right next to me. For the next five years we changed three times a week and without too much bother I was able to compare and contrast his development with my own. I remember thinking back then I wish mine was like his but all the examples before me from my own class and the older classes were all cut. (and without the internet I knew nothing else)

As I mentioned my own friends were cut and we all seemed to respond and orgasm in much the same way. From memory I don't remember experiencing any pain or discomfort from jacking. I don't think as you mentioned this interaction was in any 'gay' or 'not gay' - it was just developmental. It was what happened in a boys' college.

Later in adulthood again there seemed no major problems with arousal or feelings. However I do remember seening more and more uncuts at the gym or pool or beach.

It wasn't until I happened to read a health magazine that I thought about restoration - the extensive turkey neck was actually the bunched up reminants of quite a lot of foreskin. With encouragement this now stays permanently in place.

What I have noticed now is a confidence in appearing naked that I didn't have before and of course increased sensitivity.

My hairline has stayed much the same but any stray hairs are plucked out.

My only wish now is for me to regain some of my length - even though loosely circ'd I go from average cut to mini uncut. With manual tugging and weights I hope to changed this.

My 16 should now read 23months.

Keep posing

Restoring will expand all the skin that you tension. But the thicker hairy skin is under less stress, because stress is force divided by cross-sectional area. Also, the skin surrounding the base that is drawn toward the shaft has a relatively broad area so it too is under less stress and should expand less.

Expanding any of the hairless skin near the glans means that LESS hairy skin from near the base will be drawn onto the shaft upon erection or dragged into a partner.

We have more hair on the shaft than intact guys because of the rapid growth that occured during puberty. Dealing with that is easy. Shave it or pluck it. I plucked for years so my shaft would be smooth not irritate a vagina. Now I shave, by first cutting to whisker length with a beard trimmer and then using an electric razor. My wife says there is no issue with irritation from stubble. Note that I switched from plucking to shaving after I had a lot of slack so it could be that this hairy zone of skin just never gets near her delicate parts. That is, my experience does not prove that shaving is as effective as plucking at making the shaft smooth enough for her.

Cheers,
-Ron

What would be the most effective method of restoring?
Separately what would be the least intrusive method of restoring (on daily life (aside from manually tugging))?
And thanks for the welcome.

Just my opinion, but the most effective methods seem to be TLC Tugger or T-tape (if you can stand the tape and don't break out or tear your skin removing it).

Most discreet besides manual... t-tape... but again, it's a hassle. Though the TLC Tugger can pop off when active, it is so much easier to put on and take off and it is made of non-allergenic material.

The most effective methjod is the one you can integrate into your lifestyle the best and that works for you. People report success with all of them. The least intrusive depends upon how you define the term "intrusive". Manual may be the least intrusive for some apsects, such as cost of supplies, but may not be the least intrusive in say time spent daily.

Your goals are reasonable, so there is no reason to think you can not achieve them.

You will really have to restore and see how it goes as far as relating a particular CI category with gliding action and the other things you are concerned about. However, since it is a slow process, you can easily stop when you reach your goals or go further. Just keep in mind that it can take considerable time for your skin to fully recover and reach its ultimate restored state (some say over 1 year), so you may need to take a break or two to see if you have indeed achieved your preferred status.

Hair moving up the shaft is a comone worry among beginners. Those who have progressed far enough in restoring realize it is nothiing to be worried about and restoration either solves the "problem" in part or in whole or at least does nothing to make it worse.
