View Full Version : CAT II Q w/ deep pusher: grips too tightly?

I've used the CAT since Feb 08, and lately, I've found that upon removing it, the portion of skin that was being gripped has a bluish hue upon removal, which is a sign that it's too tight. The area of skin which is being tensioned remains a healthy colour. While I've had problems like this before, the answer has always been "too much tension!" This time, however, I fail to believe that. Even with very low tension (even none at all!), the device still does this. I have no problem with getting skin over the device; I'm a high CI-5/low CI-6 with a FEC of over 175%. I've tried inverting the cone to get a less firm grip, but with no success.

Any suggestions?

I use the CAT II Q / deep pusher combination. Don't notice this as an issue.

When I apply the device, I make sure I pull up/out the inner tissue so that there's no pinch points before I apply the cap and then tension.

good luck.
