A bit of a joke topic here, but I was thinking about phobias... You know, stuff like homophobic people. I've noticed that quite a few circ supporters seem to have this sort of irrational fear or outright hatred of the foreskin. What then for the sake of discussion, if you were to create a word on a foreskin phobia, would you call it? Actually, I don't know if one even already exists... Probably not.

The word would probably be "preputiaphobia". Distalero would probably know for sure. He has alot of medical training and would know how the latin works for this. Where's the bulldog when you need him?

How about ACROPOSTHIONOPHOBIA?

Recently there was a posting of someone teased (I assume in the US) for NOT being circumcised. I guess it could happen in the Philippines or Indonesia together with other countries.

But what are the taunts?

You have not been physically, sexually abused? You have not had your dick mutilated? You have not had up to 80% of the skin flayed from your dick? Your dick is still complete and full sized? Your dick functions normally? You still have normal sensations in your dick?

Yeah, it's really dumb. I don't understand those whom have everything and yet are still insecure about it, doubt I ever will either to be honest. Where is the thought to look closer? That's how I found out about this in the first place. I NEVER knew previously that humans had this kind of thing in their natural anatomy, but I noticed it on many other creatures... I kind of just figured we were more an oddity of nature in that regard but what do you know, I got curious enough to do a bit of researching on my own at pure random and then it led to this... Funny how that works. I wasn't ever explicitly told by my family that they ever cut anything off of me until >I< brought it up. :rolleyes: I do NOT believe in ignorance being bliss, especially when a society saturated in it makes life a living hell for others opposing it and they become victims of the cycle. I expected better out of my guardians...

I've already looked at that site before, I thought the word acroposthion was referring primarily to the tip or opening of it? I'm not sure, but a word referring to the whole of the structure would probably be better. It would be funny if such a word were ever seriously created sometime in the future. Sooo many phobias if you've ever read a list, I wouldn't be surprised if some people were genuinely afraid of the foreskin. Takes all kinds...
