I am not sure where I read it, but I recall reading that Chuck was inspired by those pictures, not just to restore but to pierce. The piercings are very similar. :)

No, he was inspired to restore by similar pictures, and then took those pictures of himself as a tribute to those which originally inspired him. That is Chuck in that picture. :P

I just re-read his page. He does not comes out and say that the pictures are of him, but I now agree with you. His opening discussion of the pictures that inspired him misled me. Sorry. :o

As confirmation, looking at the other pics on the site, I see him wearing the same ring on his left hand in several of the shots. (as if the cock jewelry was not enough - sorry BamaDude)
