Hay all. I have just started restoring and am confused on the whole measurement CI-1 threw 10 restoration status system. Can anyone explain it or direct me to a site where it is explained? Thanks!

I think this is one that has been listed before here.

Short answer
CI-1 - Tightly cut, with no loose skin
CI-10 - Looks / is uncut with unforced erect coverage + some overhang.
All the other values are in between.

It is helpful, I think, to use two systems to measure status. The Coverage Index (CI-1 to CI-10) is helpful as a start. The second is Ron Low's system of Foreced Erect Coverage (FEC). I consider both scales to gauge progress.
