View Full Version : Night Time - Retension while sleeping

I've been restoring for almost three months and there is still one thing I haven't been able to figure out. I find that trying to retain coverage while sleeping is very difficult. I've tried many different methods - o-rings, sens-slip and tape, but each one has its downside... With O-rings I wake up with an erection and the the ring is half-way down the shaft (ouch!). With sens-slip, it takes 20mins just to get the thing on and the powder you must use to make the thing work dries out my parts. Finally, tape is the easiest thing to use, but if I have to pee at night, it gets messy and then the tape looses its stickiness and I usually give up. Bottom line, I don't know if not covering at night is slowing my restoration progress or not, but I would like to find an easier way to retain at night just to be comfortable. My glans have become very sensitive from my daytime restoring and the dry blankets and sheets irritate me. Pease reply with your suggestions, I'm very interested in finding out what works for you?

The beautiful thing about the TLC Tugger is the "Your Skin Cone" that comes with it. When you aren't using the Tugger, you can use the cone to retain coverage. I sleep in fairly loose boxer briefs and was able to retain coverage all night last night (the first time I tried retaining at night. I was VERY excited to wake up with the cone still on, with a semi-hardon to boot! I just started tugging last week, so I am no expert, but try the cone, IT WORKS!

You could do as I did in the past: Just go back to a simple X tape or a tape ring at night (to keep the more sensitive glans covered so the sheets won't bother you).

Thanks guys... I've tried the X tape and tape ring, but I find it a bit cumbersome to remove the tape when I have to pee in the middle of the night. As for the cone, I've tried that but wasn't as successful as Andy. I'm not giving up, I'll keep trying stuff. Appreciate the advice... :)

Using a tape ring with a HOLLOW stopper works for peeing without removing the tape, and an X tape with a hole in the middle (I used a paper punch) allows some leeway, too. But each man's anatomy is different -- as we all know so well!

Thanks again for all the input... I've actually tried multiple o-rings, the problem I had with that is that I woke up with a lot of pain due to having quite a substantial hard-on. Perhaps I just don't have enough new skin to avoid all the challenges of night time coverage. I believe I shall resolve to keep trying the things mentioned in this thread and hopefully one night, it will start working as well as I gather it does for you folks... :D

:D A few months back, I discovered a way to keep myself covered all night and during rest periods thru paper based tape. I just cut about twice the size of my circumference and about 1cm or less width then wrap the scar line with it tighter that it's normal size and then pulling the shaft up where the tape line becomes sort of a new ridged band. There's no need to remove the tape when peeing but need to stay close to the urinal otherwise I'd pee all over the place. I also use this tape method when I workout or during any other physical activities.

This I'll have to try... it seems simple enough, I hope it works! Last night I went to bed with three o-rings on - they must have been a tad too big as I woke up to find all three neatly skewered by my member, not doing their intended job. It took some delicate effort, but I managed to remove them and get back to sleep in around 15mins (skipped retaining for the rest of the night)...

Hi to all, hope you guys that posted here can have a chance to read this.

First of all, DO NOT WEAR O RINGS or any restoration method during the night that is not safe for your penis.

During the night is very common to get an erection and maybe you will wake up for the pain you feel in your erect penis, but it can be very dangerous and cause serious damage if you are not careful; you might strangle your penis head and could probably lead to amputation

When you restore at night, you need something safe for erections:

The first one can be the T-Tape, since you have to apply it while erect you wont have any problems with your nocturnal erections. But I never liked it because everytime you need to pee, you have to unclip, make the T-tape come down your penis and clip it again, and during the process sometimes it gets wet and starts to come loose.

The second, and I think it is the best choice to restore at night is the Canister Method, if you want to pee in the middle of the night this is the best method possible since you dont even have to take out the device to go to the toilet, just unclip it, pee through the hole and clip it again, and back to sweet dreams. :)

The third can be the TLC Tugger, although it can come off during the night, but it is also safe for your penis in case you have a nocturnal erection.

For the newbies you can visit www.tlctugger.com, Mr Ron Low has aside from his star products the TLC Tugger and the Your Skin Cone, also Canister Kits that you can buy and for a good price. If you dont want to spend money, the canister method is pretty easy to do at home, and gives very good results, also for the starters.

Hope this helps guys, keep it up :)

Hi Neo,

Any advice on how to use the canister method? I've tried a film canister before, but they ones I used were from a 35mm film role and this is pretty small for my parts and I suspect it would cause problems if I wore that at night too...

Hi there,

The canister method is pretty easy to use, just put some creme inside the canister without letting it come to the outside part of the canister where the sticky part of the tape should be.

The important thing of this method is that your glands are not inside the canister while you are tugging, so if you get an erection there is no problem. That is why this is recommended for people with very little slack to start with.

So just stick your flaccid glands inside the canister, pull some skin over the sticky side of the tape. But just enough so when you tug, your skin is being pulled and your glands can come down from the canister, if your glands are staying inside the canister it means that you are pulling too much skin up.

This way you can sleep with no worries about erections, so the size of the canister does not really matters since your glands are never inside it. If you have to pee, unclip, press the canister over your penis and your glands should come up to the hole in the canister so it is very easy to pee.

Hi Folks... it's been a while since I posted to this thread and I just wanted to give an update. I ordered a TLC Tugger several weeks ago and started wearing the Skin Cone at night. This works for me! Now I can stay covered at night and my member is very happy. The only challenge I've had is that I usually wake up at least once to pee and as soon as the skin cone comes off, I get an erection and can't put the Cone back on right away. This is not too terrible as I've gotten good at installing the thing w/o needing to watch what I'm doing. So by the time I get back into bed, I'm usually able to put the cone back on...:) !
