Hi Guys,
I have been restoring for three months. So far the progress has been pretty good...much slower than I anticipated but the sensitivity is much greater. I use the DTR primarily but the tlc tugger as well.

Question: Does anyone do the manual restoration exercizes in addition to other forms of tugging? It seems like it could be a good addition, i just don't know if other people are doing it or if it is overkill. Any insight would be appreciated.

Keep restoring!

I don't actually do the manual routine (too lazy) , but this was posted under Methods. Hope it helps.

I've been at this for a long time. In the last 6 months or so I've added a variation of manual stretching to strap tugging, in combination with a couple of days off after each tugging day, and have seen the most gain I've seen ever. This is no guarantee you will, of course, but I would reccomend trying it for a few months at least, just to experiment. Experimentation is a big part of this whole process.

"My" version of manual tugging involves using the same device I use for strap tugging: a pill vial/tape. After about 8 or so hours of strap tugging I take the strap off, pull on the handle attachment while squeezing an "ok" sign on the skin tube just behind the vial (I do this at home, in front of the TV or computer). It hurts a little, but not much; use common sense and keep your eyes open. I do many, many cycles of about a minute to a minute and a half, with at least that amount of time resting in between cycles (this roughly approximates the schedule used in the lab by researchers who were experimenting with skin generation), for about 2 hours (2 hours may be pushing it a bit when you first start this).

This won't be for everyone, but it has pulled me out of a plateau, and as I've said, given more apparent gain that just regular tugging.
