Hi All,

I've recently joined this foreskin restoration forum and thought I'd introduce myself

I chose to be circumcised at age 22 because my foreskin was so tight it wouldn't retract at all (phimosis). Now, I've decided to restore my foreskin because of the increased sensitivity and protection that a foreskin provides. I'm in the rare position to be able to say I've experienced sex with and without a foreskin and "with" is definitely better! I'll be posting my story and a baseline starting photo to the progress pictures shortly (as soon as I download the pics from my camera).

I actually started restoring several times before now. First, I bought a PUD weight several years ago but haven't used it much. The tape keeps coming loose and it was pretty uncomfortable. The tape would give out after about an hour and the PUD would fall down my pants leg and whack my ankle. Plus the bulkiness of the device made me look like I had a perpetual boner. It wasn't practical for use out of the home or at work.

I bought and started using a DTR device about a week ago and have seen some progress already. I intend to purchase a TLC Tugger as soon as I feel I have stretched enough skin to allow it to stay attached. I think I might also use the PUD taped weight again from time to time (at home only) because I like the idea of varying the stretch method. The DTR seems to stretch the inner skin but pushes my dick back up into my body somewhat. The PUD weight pulls everything downward and out and works more on the outer skin. Hopefully once I get the TLC Tugger it will do a little of both.

I'll be posting more soon!

Cheers!

Congratulations on your decision to begin restoration! You are lucky to at least know what you are missing. If you can use the DTR, you can certainly use the TLC Tugger. Both are fine devices and I agree that using more than one method is a good thing. Can't wait to see the progress pics!

congrats on restoring,

curious though when being circed did they offer you various cuts, as in it sounds like they could have just did the very very tip to remove the ridged band?

good luck on the restoration

Yes, the doc who circed me actually asked me beforehand if I wanted a total or just a trim job. It was totally my choice. In retrospect I should have asked for the partial cut. I was young, dumb and wanted to look like everyone else at the gym.

Thanks for the good luck wish. Judging from the progress photos some of the guys here have grown some great skin.

I'm curious that you weren't offered any other solutions to your phimosis. I've heard of, but never seen a "mandarin cut" where just a slit is made in the foreskin to allow for retraction, and I guess there are a couple of other surgeries which don't include a full amputation of foreskin. Were any of these offered to you at the time? What with going through the stretching process of restoration, I would imagine that someone with phimosis could stretch the opening to accomodate retraction. Did you try this at all before your surgery?

I know that some intact individuals just go through circumcision just to appear "the same as everybody else," but it is a shame that we can't be proud of our differences; when I am restored, I won't be shy about showing off mine---but I don't want to be an exhibitionist.

Good luck with your restoration; the Tugger works for me, and I can't reccommend it enough! It has changed my life already, and I'm nowhere near completion. KOT CERICWIN

p.p.s.
When you graduate to the Tugger, you'll be delighted in not having to mess with tape all of the time, it's much easier on the penis, and in the long run, less expensive--you don't have to buy tape all of the time, just possibly a new Tugger in a different size, and packing cylinders--rarely. They last a long time! CERICWIN
