A while back I started a thread asking if anyone thought that surgical frenelum reconstruction was a possibility. The thread got very mixed responses. There have been a lot of new members since then and I wanted to see if anyone had any new thoughts on this.

I wasn't sure if I should revive the old thread or just start a new one. If any mod feels that the new thread is unnecessary then I will understand.

Anyway, does anyone have any thoughts on this? I don't think that I would be able to trust any doctor enough to attempt this if it were possible, but maybe others would be interested.

Well, I haven't given much thought to it. I don't have enough interest in a fake frenulum that may or may not work to warrant the risk of surgery on my most private of parts.

However, I was thinking about it the other day, and it occurred to me that the people to ask about this would be the surgeons who do gender reassignment (sex change) surgeries. They create and reconstruct genital structures all the time, so they would probably have the expertise and technique necessary.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anybody know how they do female to male sex changes? Do they create an intact-style phallus or do they "circumcise" it?

I think that's where anyone who was interested would get the best answers.
