I don't know if this will help, but this is what I have found. I have had my glans covered nearly 24/7 for almost 5 months. I think I have about go the original back. It is very moist all the time and extremely sensitive. What I have noticed, and what I think is important, is that the outer layer of the glans is now extremely thin. This is very noticable for me and that is why I think I am close to the original. Now, if I am very flacid, like having just come out of cold water, I see my glans is wrinkly (but in a different way than the pre-restoric era) and not all that 'glassy'. However, as I warm up and get a bit of a semi, then it is like glass. So, it could be that the intact guys you have seen have all had a bit of a semi and so they always look shiny. But the fact may be that it is natural for them, as well, to have a bit of wrinkle when fully flacid. I would love to see some docmentary photos of the glans of an flacid uncut guy. All the ones I see of uncut guys they are either hard or covered. Anyone know where to find photos of an uncovered, flacid, intact man? I know from experience, that photos just don't capture the real thing, whatever it is you are trying to illustrate.

^ Elsewhere on here there have been comments that using shea butter or some other lotion "may" help to speed up the process, because then there is more moisture vs. just what the skin decides to secrete. So I've been at this for a little over a week and am trying to keep it moist at all times. Is this true / will this really help? Like Inny0909, I'm hoping mine will be all smooth like glass, too.....and get rid of the wrinkly nastyness!!!!

I think this is funny, because nobody is actually thinking about things in the larger view, or, unfortunately, with a view of human physiology. Think about it, women use many topical creams to "soften" the skin. These products AREN'T the chemical peel types, but rather emollients, something that just essentially sits on the skin. Their manufacturers bank (literally) on people not knowing how skin is formed and how it reacts. Why would anyone think that these would "speed up the process" of shedding a layer of tissue? They aren't designed to do this, and don't act that way in actual practice.
There are chemical peel type lotions available, but would you want to use that on your glans? (I hope you're saying "no"). These products are specifically NOT for use on mucosa, which is what glans tissue is, however keratinized it happens to be. Too harsh, too damaging. They essentially chemically burn the skin so it will peel. No magic there, just burned tissue.
Just cover your glans et al., and after some time you will begin to see a change. Not a big, dramatic change, but a gradual one, a natural one, and yes, it will take some time to appear. Nobody here can tell you how long it will take. You can put some sort of emollient on your glans, there's nothing particularly wrong with that, but it won't "speed" things up in any real way because that's not how the process actually works.

Having restored for a while, against the advice of other restorers, I wash with soap and water then replace the Tugger. Shortly afterwards the glans becomes moist and after a while very moist. The fluid is different to urine as it is less watery and in fact slightly tacky, is clear and has a particular smell.

Yep, I do and see the very same thing. Soap, and a good rinse with water is basic hygiene: better than "good to do", of course, it's fundamental. The watery transudate that crosses mucosal tissue comes after the tissue has been revitalized; it was meant to do this, and it will with time. Good to hear you see this. Some of what we see, of course, is a bit of sweat; it's inevitable.
It sounds like you know from first hand experience that a naturally moist condition eventually happens. No need for adding moisture. Trying to get this across to guys who are just starting out, though, is difficult. Most of us start out focusing on the image of the process, not the function, but if we keep with it, we start to see first hand what will happen.

Two words: instant gratification. Most all of us have some set of things that we hate waiting for. Not necessarily in the restoration process. I admit if there were something that I could use to make this go quicker I would do it in a heart beat. But sadly guys this is a lengthy process. Not much we can do but KOT!!

From what I have seen not all intact guys have shiny purple glans. Some have a glans that looks more like a circumcised penis. My guess is this is because they had it pulled back as a baby before the foreskin had separated.
I suspect this from examining my own penis too. The upper side is much rougher than the underside. I think when my RIC was done the doctor didn't need to tear my foreskin off the underside as it had developed and separated already.
As the foreskin was torn off the other side and not allowed to separate naturally I don't think it can ever be the same as a natural shiney glans as the surface must have been permanently damaged.

Way back, about 10 years ago I had a bf who was uncut. I have always been unhappy about being cut, but didn't think there was anything I could ever do until I came acros websites like this one. Anyway we are not together anymore, but when I started restoring it took about 6-8 months for my glans to take on the texture and silkiness I remember about his glans. If I don't wash then it smells - just like his did - but so do my pits, feet and other bodily parts. So I wash carefully, moisturize well and now have a smooth and silky glans with almost total coverage (at least when soft).

Dear Guys,
I may actually have been taking something which could speed up the process. I am not an expert when it comes to HGH,Human growth hormone. Some people say their are some phoney brands. I don't sell it or endorse the product, I only want you to know that I am only a 4 day tugger. I don't have any evidence on growth yet but I have taken the product for months and no bad side effects. This product is sprayed under the tongue. Heath Center, INC. the original Homeopathic Spray, Rejuvi-Cell Formula. The internet must have many forms of HGH. If anyone finds out that the brand label of mine is a fake, could you please message me and let me know what info you found out...?
Take care,

You really need to read the information I pasted below, especially two areas: risks, and the statement that the only effective (and it's effective only for some conditions) form is injectible. Any over-the-counter product, and especially some oral "form" out there is a scam, and/or illegal. Just like the information on how skin actually forms, you need to learn about your own physiology; complex to the extreme, but you can pick up the basics relating to your issues pretty easily. Our modern, drive-through approach to "health" products (to sell those products) has made folks more ignorant, in my opinion. Research, learn. The same scamming medium, the internet, that hooked you in, can also inform and protect you. I would suggest you start right now.
"...Human growth hormone (HGH) or somatropin is naturally produced in the body. It is responsible for growth during childhood. After young adulthood the body normally produces less HGH.
.... A physician must prescribe growth hormone. The dose is individualized for each person and is taken by injection.
...Products sold over the counter as HGH are digested in the stomach and do not reach the blood stream
...Will human growth hormone for anti-aging improve my quality of life?
There is no evidence that taking growth hormone will improve your quality of life.
Does the treatment with human growth hormone make my symptoms better?
There is no evidence that taking HGH will improve how you feel.[/B]
Safety
How safe is this for me?
HGH may cause harmful effects and should not be used if you are pregnant or have evidence of cancer.

I would not take human growth hormone. There is a risk that such hormones inhibit naturally produced hormones.
Other point of this thread is the appearance of the glans. After maybe 3 years of (equivalent) full time restoration, I now have full, reliable flaccid coverage. (I would like to post some images, but do not seem to be able to.)
What I have found is that I seem to be able to produce a few drops of pre-cum fluid, even while flaccid. Appropriate visual stimulation is all that is required. In pre-restored days, I guess that the fluid got collected on underwear and went unnoticed. The tingling sensation between the legs indicates that this is the same process.
The pre-cum fluid now collects under the restored foreskin and certainly gives the glans a shiny appearance. I may allow it to remain for a few days to investigate if any odour is produced.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

My glans started de-karatinizing itself within the first month of keeping it covered and less than 3 months to become completely smooth, moist, and shiny. Once the old skin cells had completely sloughed off my sensitivity increased 100 fold. If you make a dedicated effort to keep your glans covered day and night you should see a very rapid increase in sensitivity
