Last line of the article: "Also note that the scenario is especially relevant to uncircumcised men."

Are they totally forgetting the role of the foreskin during penetration or am I just missing it all?

Basically, they are saaying the coronal ridge is designed to remove competing sperm from the vagina, but it sounds like they are forgetting the bunching up that occurs that cushions the coronal ridge from actually interacting with the ribbed walls of the vagina.

I commented, afterwards seeing that a couple from here made it too.

"Well, these poor sexually mutilated people sure have shown the limitations of science.

The foreskin bunches up over the coronal ridge during the outstroke of vaginal intercourse. The coronal ridge does not interact against the ribbed vaginal walls in natural sex. In fact, the coronal ridge scraping against the vaginal walls during mutilated sex is what causes dryness (it acts like a one-way pump without the foreskin bunching up behind it) and irritation to the vagina causing friction injuries. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Sure wish I lived in Europe where doctors don't give parents the right to mutilate their children's genitals. Thankfully, the rates have dropped nearly 25% in the last 4 years in the US. Way to catch up to the other 80% of the civilised world."

If you look at the date, this article is quite old now.

Seen it... it's the same Bering guy as on the other article...

The guy's a joke really, he's really quite ignorant of the very object of his sexual fixation...
