View Full Version : Tugging at night

I have been using the TLC Tugger for just over a week now and wear it most of the day using the strap down my leg. I also want to tug at night but have had no success in keeping it on, either by using the strap down my leg, or as suggested over my shoulder.
Has anyone had a similar problem and has got some suggestions on how I can keep it on of a night?

For tugging at night I use a repurposed suspender strap. I keep one end permanently attached to the bedframe. I sleep on my right side on the right side of the bed the strap runs from the upper right corner of the bed to the handle of my TLC at about a 30 degree angle once it has been attached to my member.
I use a small caribiner hook that is permanently attached to the business end of the tugging strap. It is easy to manipulate and is immune from being unintentionally pulled off the TLC handle once its been snapped shut. This provides for easy on/off connection with the TLC handle. Along with that I also my same daytime safety line made from soft braided nylon with one end that stays attached to the TLC handle and the other with a small noose that I also thread on to the caribiner hook first and then my TLC handle. This arrangement makes it very easy to find, remove and/or reattach the TLC in the night with a minimum of hassle and the use of the safety line keeps everything in one place at your arms reach instead of having to grope around in the sheets to find the tugger parts if they do come off.
With the over the shoulder method I felt like I was being strangled and tension constantly varied with sleeping posture. This way I find I have a full free range of movement to toss and turn throughout the night and even fully turn over on my stomach back and side to side without any discomfort. The tugger strap stays flat and tight against the surface of the mattress and abdomen. It easily extends and retracts with my movements keeping constant tension applied no matter what position I change to through the night.
When experiencing nocturnal erections that can become uncomfortable enough to pinch, I simply reach down and unhook the caribiner from the TLC handle. I keep the TLC in place on my glans with the safety line still attached to the caribiner. That allows enough slack to take the pressure off to instantly relieve the pinching. When the erection dissipates you can reach down again and easily reattach the caribiner hook and tugging strap to your TLC and continue the tugging thoughout the night or just use your erections help aid in the stretching process.
With time and practice you will find that this is a very easy task to perform even if you are half asleep!. I find that once I put my TLC on at night and has had tension applied to it for even a short time it sets itself and pretty much stays put all night long tugging strap or not. I find I have better tugging continuity with far fewer detachments during night time tugging than I ever can achieve during the day. I hope some of you will find this method useful in obtaining both a comfortable and "restorative" nights sleep.

the big problem at night is erections, especially if you don't have a lot of slack skin, if you can't apply the tugger when fully erect it's not going to stay on all night as erections will happen
cobbs, that setup sounds scary, I'm sure you've made it to be safe, but I just can't see it, I would never tug without it being connected to something that I'm wearing

Fears, phobias and procrastinations are mind induced and can be major impediments to the restoration process. Nothing ventured (No Skin Gained). Let your body do the talking instead of your brain. It will very quickly tell you what it doesn't like.
I have been using this method every night for nearly 4 years trouble free but when I started I was already nearly 2 years into my restoration process and had progressed from a CI-1 to a CI-3/4. I'm now at at CI-7/8.
I feel that my night time tugging using fixed point of tension has yielded far better results than the continual hassle of frequent re-adustments that often occur during daytime use.
I have found that a nights worth of tugging via this method produces nearly 90 percent full erect coverage for the first few fleeting minutes after I take my cone off in the morning vs just flacid coverage after a days worth of tugging on my feet.
I generally enjoy a full 8 hours of un-interupted tugging at night even with erections. I've grown enough slack skin now that nocturnal erections wearing a cone are no longer painful they just enhance the tugging process. This added to my normal 10 to 12 hours of tugging on my feet has yielded the results I have been seeking.
The question was asked and I'm just sharing something that has worked well for me. Everyone has to find what works best for them.

I've been tugging for about 4 months now, and tug primarily at night as my daytime schedule is usually pretty active. I'm a painter, and when I'm not at work, I'm usually on a bicycle, or at the gym, etc. I've had the absolute best luck with tugging straight up and looping the strap around the back of my neck (so that when I reconnect to the safety pin, it creates a "V" in the front of my neck, several inches down my chest). I can sleep on my back or both sides without interfering with the tugger in the least bit. I get 8 hours of hassle free tug time, and rarely have to adjust. As far as nocturnal erections go, I usually let my partner take care of that before bed. Solves the problem 95% of the time. =)

I employ the same method as "micdjunior", with a suspender looped around the back of my neck. For the most part it works as well as anything, but being a beginner (with not much slack) it often ends up "pinching', then I'm forced to unclip, but leave the cone on, and it nearly always stays put. If I wake up later I tension up again.

Active Duty Navy here and underway at sea on a submarine a number of months of the year. Straps around the neck too cumbesome if bounced out of the bunk in the middle of the night and I have to be instantly battle ready in an emergency. I needed to find a way to instantly disconnect with my cone so I could jump straight into my gear and boots on the run. Having your dick stretched full length through the fly of your boxers and pointed straight up at your chin on a strap tied around your neck is also a bit too obvious to ignore by others when you are elbow to elbow trying to get dressed at the same time as a dozen other guys in a crowded berthing compartment. Thus I found my method of using a fixed elastic strap tied to my bunk frame to hook up to at night works best for me. I can instantly disconnect and tuck the essentials back into my shorts before jumping out of the bunk and reattach my cone to a leg strap in the more private surroundings of a stall in the head later on.
This allows me to continue my round the clock tugging routine at sea and makes me more "Battle Ready" with the missus when I get home!!

I've been restoring since March '07, and have experienced a lot of growth, but I seldom if ever, manage to keep my Tuggers--either the regular or the new Tugger X--on all night long.
I manage to keep it on longer at night with minimal tension--the strap loosened to the point of tension--but not pulling too strongly. I always tug up at night, but I'm a "grower" --quite a bit larger erect than flaccid, so I'll need quite a lot more skin to retain my Tugger all night long, at which point I will be able to increase the tension.
Good luck, KOT

I'm the opposite. Surprisingly the tugger stays on when I sleep at night but it will not stay on at all during the day. Walking just makes it come off.

Well, thank you for your service.
I can't even imagine having to jump up and be battle ready. Wouldn't guys be staunchly erect (at attention?) about half the time? I know when I marched in a drum and bugle corps that was an issue. Some guys would never make it to showers before breakfast because it took so long to wait for their morning erection to subside so they could climb out of the sleeping bag. These were all 18-21 year-old guys traveling without their girlfriends.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for your tribute but I want to commend you on your ongoing battle to reverse penile mutilation through meaninful education and techical innovation.
When you go to sea and live at close quarters with 160 other virile guys ranging on the from their late teens to mid 30's who are perpetually horny from being deprived for months at a time from access to their signifigant others, seeing "Shipmates" sporting spontaneous erections in general but particularly first thing in the morning are an expected norm but for the most part go unnoticed after you have seen them the first couple of times around.
Going "Commando" might be more common practice or myth(?) among other branches of the service but it is pretty much an unwritten rule of submarine force etiquette that because we have to coexist in such close quarters that we all wear "skivees" of some sort to keep our essentials somewhat contained. The last thing a guy sleeping in a middle bunk wants to see when he first opens his eyes in the morning is the business end of a completely bare piss hard-on staring him in the face belonging to a guy crawling out of an upper berth or another who is already his feet for the first time after waking. In any case even though you undoubtably will find yourself and others standing proudly at attention when hitting the deck first thing in the morning there is no time to dawdle using modesty as an excuse. Trying to maintain your personal "bubble" of space in close quarters you find yourself automatically and subconsiously willing and manually adjusting your stiff manly pride to wilt down fairly quickly to a less conspicuous down pointing semi long before you head out to find a urinal and hit the showers.
Its been impossible to hide completely but I try to respect that rule by keeping my restoration gear discretely out of sight as much as possible. Although I initially had to deal with a certain amount of rowdy curiosity and comments regarding the motivation and concept behind restoration I've been able to in turn win over at least a couple of "New Recruits" to the cause.
A sevice man in uniform never goes out in public without his head being fully "covered"' with his issued uniform head gear. This sailor's goal is to to be wearing a full sized uniform cap made of a different kind of material on his other head very soon now!
Keep up all your good work RON!
