The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute invites Research Dissemination and Implementation (R18) applications from institutes/organizations that propose studies which will develop and test strategies to accelerate the adoption and integration of evidence into practice. The purpose of this FOA is to support dissemination and implementation studies to 1) develop innovative dissemination and implementation approaches to translating efficacious treatments for heart, lung, and blood diseases and sleep disorders in the clinic, community, and other real-world settings; 2) test the effectiveness, sustainability, determinants, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness of these approaches in a variety of real-world settings; and 3) examine the effectiveness of interventions as they are disseminated and implemented in real-world settings to reduce risk factors for and enhance prevention and treatment of heart, lung, and blood diseases and sleep disorders.
