Hi.
I'm considering restoring. I have tried in the past using the t-tape method and suspenders but found it very uncomfortable and clumsy. I've also done manual restoration but quit because the stretching of the dorsal skin caused me some pain for a couple days afterwards. The TLC looks interesting to me, especially the tlc-x which is strapless. I've decided I don't want to restore during the day and want to do it only at night. I'm worried however that the device will come off at night if I have an erection. I have no slack skin, it's very tight, I'm a CI-1. Can anyone offer any advice? thanks, -bbq |

I know this isn't what you want to hear but I believe you should hear it none the less. You really shouldn't restore at night because when your asleep your not able to prevent injuries like you would be able to if you were awake and when you do hurt yourself your not able to reduce the damage done like you are able to when your awake and you hurt yourself.

Try manual tugging to get some slack skin to work with. Then once you have slack skin you could move onto TLC or TLC X.

When first starting, it is good to use less tension than you think is necessary. Then, slowly increase the tension and time day by day. This way, you will get used to tugging and learn the techniques without hurting yourself. As noted by Aspie, tugging at night is risky. A beginner should never tug at night. Learn how your body responds during the day before even considering it. You also need to test your tugging method with erections before tugging while sleeping.

BBQ,
Agree with Tally 100%. I can't say it any better. Take care and keep tugging

I would advise against tugging while asleep. I've been tugging for about a half a year with a tlc tugger, and it requires repositioning about every 1-2 hours. I coordinate this with pee breaks at work (pee a lot, huge coffee addict). After one to two hours, if you have enough tension, the skin that the inner and outer cones are gripping will start to become numb. The amount of "pinch" required for the device to actually latch onto your skin will occlude blood flow to that skin. This is perfectly okay for up to two hours. I'm a nurse, and when we have patients who are very feeble and unable to move around in bed, we turn them from side to side, every two hours. The reason is that if you lay on one spot for more than two hours, and occlude blood flow to that tissue, the tissue will die. This is how bedsores happen. The same thing, theoretically, could happen to your penis. Discomfort usually alerts you to the fact that the tugger has to be repositioned, but if you are asleep, you won't feel it. I used to use a water bottle filled with hot water to keep my feet warm while I slept. One night I was so deep in sleep that the hot water bottle burned my leg. I got a second degree burn because it was up against the skin for hours and I never woke up. I think tugging at night is a big risk, but apparently a lot of people do it, so perhaps they'd like to chime in with their experiences. I personally won't do it, I think it's too much of a risk to the skin I'm putting forth so much effort to grow.

Nocturnal erections with a device on can tear the skin, slowing the restoration.

I have slept quite comfortable at night with a DTR on, but most nights I'm wearing a TLC cone and a retainer which is perfect.
I do wake up with some pre-cum built up in the cone so I know I'm still having my nocturnal erections but everything is going ok and doesn't seem to cause any issues to my sleeping. |
