My primary reason was to basically say "fuck you" to my parents and American society. Even if it didn't bring back any pleasure, I still would have done it.
I originally kept my restoration a secret. I wanted the doctor to see my restored foreskin and his reaction. He would then tell my parents, and I would then suddenly spill out my true feelings on them with no possiblility of telling me not to do it; I would have already done it by then. |

People have all kinds of reasons to do what they do, whether it be to restore, or to actually go through with a circumcision.
If you don't mind my saying so, that's kind of a stupid reason to do anything to your body. You should do something because it is truly what you want to do, not because it will piss off, or please others. If this is the case, then you are still letting them control your life. Just my two cents... It's your body, your choice.

I also restore for sexual reasons. A "fuck you" message is not the only thing involved.

Started to relieve painful erections and my horrible curve. Won't be happy until medical technology regenerates me to normalcy.

No dramatic reason. I dont have any pain, or skin breaking. I am satisfied with the orgasms I have, and have never really longed for something greater. I am not doing it for anyone else, quite the opposite.
I have seen the scars from my circ, and for whatever reason have always seen them as unnatural and weird. I restore so I can just feel normal, and generally more content with my body image. |

Came across the Bigelow book when I was 34, just knew it was something I wanted to do for myself.

I am a new member and I haven't started my restoration yet. My personal reason to restore is to have back the more inner foreskin as possible, so I can have a revision to get rid of the uneven scar and the suture marks left me by a bad job.

Painful erections and disappointing sex are def. on the list, but also literally protecting the glans. See, I am allergic to many things, including soaps and detergents. Growing up I could only use one brand of soap to bathe and only one detergent for the clothes (and these 2 are still the only ones I use)... So every time I see the big letters "new and improved" I get to prepare myself for the next break out, on the glans first then the groin and pits. Takes a few weeks for the system to get used to it..... sometimes.
