I also just started to restore, so I am not that experienced,
but I've gained some knowledge from a mountain load of googling and just asking people on the forum.

1. be persistent!
2. dont let time bring you down, its gonna take a few years and remember, those years will pass anyway, so better do something with them, you'll have it for the rest of your life.
3. dont focus your restoration years just on your penis, live a normal life.

as for restoration:

things you should know: CI1-CI10, Coverage Index, Manual Tugging Methods, restoration devices.

I would recommend like many others start out with manual tugging
once you get to CI2-CI3 you should buy a device.

now I know that having something attached to your knee can be weird so I took a DTR, you should look up for DTR, TLC-X, CAT II and strapless tuggers.

also take a look at progress galleries here at the forum.

Good luck!

There is a For Beginners thread here and you can also check out Beginner's Guide To Restoring Foreskin.

The techniques can be as simple or complex as you make them. Many start with manual tugging method 2, other use tape, such as cross-taping, canister method, or t-taping. If you have enough skin, you can use a TLC, or TLC-X, or a DTR or a CAT II.

You can get started TODAY using one of the simplest methods - cross-taping (also known as a tape strap). You can do this using old medical tapes or Band-Aids you may have around the house. Try to keep your glans covered with your foreskin remnant for as close as 24/7 as possible (Nocturnal erections will often knock the tape off.)

For photos on how to do this, see this web site:
http://www.eskimo.com/~gburlin/restore/restdis.html

Notice how the sensitivity for your frenulum (the gathering of skin beneath your glans) increases over a period of days as you keep your glans covered.

The taping exercise will introduce you to some of the benefits, as well as the inconveniences of restoring.

When you have a chance to go out and buy a roll of medical tape, 3M's Nexcare Absolute Waterproof 1-inch-wide tan-colored foam tape ($4-$5 per roll) is an excellent choice for cross-taping. It's widely available at discount and drug chain stores.

If you like what the taping exercise does for you, order a YourSkin cone. It will economically introduce you to the TLCtugger line of tapeless products.

If the link in my post above does not work for you, try this one from the Internet Archive:
