Facebook Live Chat
What: Live Chat Session
When: December 7, 2011, from 2 to 3 p.m. ET
AHRQ's month-long effort to raise awareness of AHRQ's Spanish-language Effective Health Care Program consumer materials and health professional resources among Hispanic consumers and clinicians who serve Hispanic patients continues. On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will host a live chat with Scientific Review Officer Dr. Ileana Ponce-Gonzalez on its Spanish-language Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/AHRQehc.espanol ).
How many treatment options are there for Type 2 diabetes? What is the difference between an ACEI and an ARB for treating high blood pressure? How effective is surgery for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)? Interested participants are encouraged to post questions like these on the Facebook wall now in advance of the chat or submit them to EHC_Outreach@ahrq.hhs.gov. Questions will also be accepted during the chat.
This Facebook live chat is part of AHRQ's recently launched Toma las riendas campaign, a nationwide effort to encourage Hispanics to take control of their health and explore treatment options. To learn more about this initiative please visit http://www.facebook.com/AHRQehc.espanol.
Current as of November 2011
