The question I have for the senior restorers is, "How can I survive without a Frenulum?"
When i was circumcised as a baby my parents got their money's worth and then some. I was naive and never knew that I was circumcised until I was in my mid teens, but even as a child, I would wonder why I had a straight line scar under the head of my penis running down towards my shaft. Living a some what sheltered life as a boy, I had never seen any one else penis to compare mine against. But the question of why was there a line under my glans was always in the back of my mind. It wasn't until I was older when I learned that I had been circumcised. I then decided to research what I was missing, never knowing until recently that there are ways to restore my foreskin. Obviously I was missing my foreskin, but then there was something called a Frenulum that was also gone. I learned that the main purpose of the Frenulum is to help retract the foreskin when it is pulled back so that the glans stays covered and that all uncircumcised men have one. That brings me to my initial question. When I am finished restoring my foreskin and am sufficiently able to cover my glans 100% of the time, can I survive without a Frenulum ? |

The frenulum's function doesn't exist in a restored person. You'll be fine without it.

of course you can, it's not the end of the world, it's not like it makes much of any difference, (these statistics are made up, not sure what the numbers would actually be) but if we all lost 50% of the sensitive tissue and you lost 55% would it be that much of a difference? restore, get back what you can, it's all we can do. worrying about what you can not get back won't do any good (unless you or someone reading this happens to be a scientist working on regrowing body parts with stem cells, then by all means be worried about it
).If you are upset about it still try to channel that energy into stopping the practice anything from posting online about it to setting up a booth at a baby expo.

Your foreskin, should you restore, will slide over the glans without a frenelum. Just not as fast. Sometimes mine will slide back over and recover pretty easily. Other times, it will get stuck behind the coronal ridge until I move around, then it will pop over. It stays in place pretty well, too.
Please keep in mind that there is a broad range of variation, even among intact men. Some intact men have oodles of foreskin with it hanging off the end, others have short foreskins that just barely go over the rim. Frenelums are just the same. Some have big frilly ones, others have just a thin one. There are even some intact men who were born without a frenelum. They can also be just as damaged as a circed man's fren. I have heard of intact men ripping their frens during sex, masturbation and while sliding into home base during a baseball game (he must have slid in belly first! )Basically, don't worry about it too much. When you are done restoring, you will pass for intact. It will feel intact to you. It will work like it's supposed to. Everyone is different. There is no standard anything. Don't believe people when they try to tell you it is hopeless or you are ruined for life or it will never be as good. Some restorers actually have MORE foreskin than naturally intact men. It's up to you to decide how long you're going to do this and how much foreskin you want to grow. Intact men just have what they have. Think about THAT! |

Hey Cobra,
Thanks for letting me know the in's and out's of the frenulum. I appreciate the information. Better to have the information and not need it than need it and not have it. |
