I'm gong to start tugging manually for a bit and see howthat goes... Even though I'm at CI-2 I'm thinking that part of my problem with the discomfort and all is because my dorsal skin is a little tighter than the ventral skin... ( so happy I was in the medical profession long enough to know all these terms) lol

Sounds like you are using too much tension.

Tension is variable. It is based on how long you can wear the device. If your device is comfortable when you put it on but you start hurting after a while, then you are using too much tension for the time you are tugging. Reduce your tension if you want to wear a device for a long time. This web page has a good explanation of tugging time and tension: http://foreskinrestore.com/tensionandstages.html

The best advice is to take it slow and easy in the beginning. You need to train your skin and get it used to the stress of tugging. If you jump into tugging full bore without letting your skin get used to it and without you learning how to treat your skin, you will have pain and probably not the best progress. Tugging is similar to working out in that your first day you don't go full bore in the gym. You need to build up to a sustainable level.

Tally, thanks for posting that and the link. What you wrote is the best description of tension I've read.

Fixadick, the important thing in the beginning is not to get discouraged. When I first started using the Tugger, it was something truly new and different and an obvious intrusion into my daily routine. I had problems with it falling off, I had difficulty getting the strap right and adjusted to the best place. There were also questions to be answered. Should I wear this downtown? Only at home? Should I cut a hole in the front of my shorts or just use the fly? Should I wear the Tugger at night? Etc. etc. But after a few weeks, you work through all this. The important thing is just keep going.

I came to the Tugger from manual tugging, which had been successful for me and even necessary before I could begin using the Tugger. This was because I had been clipped pretty tight (thankfully, you don't have this problem).

I like manual tugging and still do it, but manual tugging for me is something that I can only do for a few minutes in the morning. The really nice thing about the Tugger is that it lets you take advantage of what would otherwise be wasted time that could be used in restoring. And because foreskin restoration is a long process, besides having patience, you also need a practical way to cut down the length of the process. The TLC Tugger does that.

I first found out about foreskin restoration in 1988 in an article in Uncut magazine. It was about tape, but taping just wasn't for me. So I did nothing until I began manual tugging just over a year ago. Doing nothing was my big mistake.

What Ron has done has revolutionized the whole field of FR. He devised a clever way to bypass the taping and uncomfortable film canisters and all that jerryrigged uncomfortable stuff. He is a true pioneer in FR. He is a modest man and doesn't blow his own horn, but without him and his invention, a lot of us would be taking 7 to 10 years or more to restore instead of only 3 or 4.

Fixadick, I know you will be successful in your restoring because you know that restoring is the right thing to do and you seem to have much more than the minimum amount of determination to do it. You have also been blessed by having a "head start" with the loose skin. Best of luck, dude

Thanks ALOT Dasher! What you wrote really means alot to me! I know that's probably weird since I don't really know you, but you're someone who's been doing this longer than I have so Thanks!

I do have a fair amount of determination this time... Everytime I think about being fully restored it gets me excited, in more ways than one... It's something I really want and I'm just going to have to have the patience to stick to it, I get that...

I'm going to try the tugger again today... I have yet to get ready for work, but I'm going to try it... I did mostly manual tugging yesterday and it feels like a workout... Ya know that feeling when you work on a certain set of muscles and you can "feel the burn?" Well that's what I was feelin yesterday... It wasn't uncomfortable, but I could tell something was going on... So anywhoodle...

Thanks guys! And Tally, you're website is FULLY of usefull information... Thanks for that!

You're welcome Fixadick.

Restoration is a slow process and even though you won't see daily (or even monthly) changes, you are somehow aware that something is going on down there. Then some day months into the process, when you least expect it, you whip it out to pee and notice that you've got a foreskin covering half of your glans. Wow. Now that's a pleasant surprise!

When this happens, it reminds you that foreskin restoration really does work. It also makes you just want to reach full coverage that much more (I now want to go beyond that and have an overhang, because that's the way my foreskin was before I was circumcised at age 14).

I had a classmate who was intact, but he only had a half-covering foreskin. The way I look at it, I'm not even done restoring yet, and I'm already up to where he is. So I feel pretty good about that.

August 3rd 2010

Well, this past Sunday was a week of tugging for me... My first week! Although on Saturday and Sunday I had to take a break because my safety pin broke so I had to wait till Sat. after work to buy some more... I just started my regimin again yesterday... (Monday)

My partner and I finally had the talk... I was putting on my device when he walked into the room and I hurried to cover up... Even though we've been together for almost four years it just embarsed me for some reason... I mean seriously, he was going to find out and have it confirmed sooner or later, but that's how I reacted...

He told me that he didn't care if I restored and that he'd love me either way... He also said that if I had been intact when we got together it wouldn't have stopped him from loving me. He told me to do whatever made me feel happy and whatever I needed to do for myself... I really didn't know what to say and felt even more embarased... ??? GO FIGURE!

Today I've been tugging for most of the day... I started tugging around 1:30 and took my Tugger off at about 6 then put it back on around 8 or 9 and I'm still wearing it... I can tell a difference. No REAL progress, but the skin is more loose and it doesn't always hurt when I put my tugger on anymore... I'm getting to where my skin is getting very wrinkly, but then again it always has been somewhat... Not wanting to claim that I've made leeps and bounds in a week, but just trying to count my small blessings...

I took notice of my partners dick this week and discovered that one, he doesn't have a frenulum and two, he is about a CI-4... Most of the time his skin covers the ridge... How odd that is... I thought that if a person had that much extra skin, that their frenulum would still be intact... ??? Who knows...

I've been noticing on here that many people are trying to reconsile their tugging with their religion... I've been reading both sides of the story and frankly I feel that same about this issue as I do with Christianity and Homosexuality... There ISN'T ONE... Yes there are verses that say this and verses that say that, but in the end there is only one thing that matters in my mind... Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind and soul and then to Love your Neighbor as yourself... And THAT'S IT... Being raised Christian, the grandson of a Baptist Minister no less, I know quite a bit about the Bible, yet I don't profess to know it all... But to me, what Jesus said trumps anything said ANYWHERE else in the Bible... As far as Islam and Judeasim are concerned I have only a spectators view of these religions and can't give a full oppinion...

My current religious beliefs as they stand (Wiccan) has nothing really to say about many minute details of life... There are only two things we Witches really follow... The Wiccan Rede, which simplistically says "And if you HARM NONE, do what you will" and the Charge of the Goddess, which has a phrase that I think about alot, "All acts of Love and Pleasure are my ritual". To me restoration is an act of Self Love. Restoring what the Lord and Lady gave me at Birth is something very important to me. Maybe I should start a Wiccan and Foreskin discussion here, but I don't know... If there are others here then maybe...

Night for now!

August 25th 2010

So today marks a month of tuggin! It's surprisingly not been that hard to do... I thought it would be harder... But now I get up, shower and put on my tugger... There have been days that I've skipped, but when my schedule goes back to normal, so does my tugging...

I've only been tugging with the TLC for maybe 5-8 hours at a time... When I wear it at work I have to adjust it every two hours or so because I'm constantly moving and walking... By about the 5th hour it's causing me pain and sometimes rubbing a callous so I remove it and go on about my business...

I've notcied some progress... Not alot, but enough to make me excited... You can view my progress in the Progress Gallaries... I just updated it tonight...

I can tell that there is more loos skin bunching up around the head of my penis and sometimes when I take off the tugger there is a musky sweet smell... Durring tugging and right when I take it off, the glans is a little shiny, but then returns to normal a few seconds later... I wonder when dekaratinization will begin... I don't want it too happen too soon, cause I can't seem to make my YourSkin Cone stay on by itself... don't know what's up with that... I've tried, but it doesn't work...

I had to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe of underwear to be able to tug comfortably... I used to wear bikini underwear, and now I've switched to long boxer-breifs... I used to wear boxer breifs as a kid when I developed epididemitus (sp?) and had to let my balls hang freely...

Anyway, I'm excited to start another month... I'm going on vacation next week and will be gone for 8 days so I don't know how much tugging I'll get done over those few days, but we'll see...

Congratulations on making your first month mark, the first step of many, but the most important one.

Looking back on my own progress it's amazing how quickly the time really does fly.
