Skin/Hair condition?
I have this unattractive skin or hair condition, and I'm not really sure what the cause is. My parents and sister don't have it, but my brother has something similar, though I haven't bothered investigating him. I've only recently noticed this since I'm trying to improve my image now, though I'm sure I've had this before.
On my upper arms and upper legs, A non-insignificant percentage of my hair fails to grow out of my skin. I am not hair-less, it seems simply that, for whatever reason, many of my hairs simply remain under. Those that do grow out, a large portion seems somewhat abnormal. Another skin condition I seem to have is that I have many "bumps". This is only in the upper arm areas, though it seems to correlate with the hair problem.
There are three distinct types of abnormalities I have noticed.
Both upper arm and upper leg: Hairs that do not grow out are circles underneath the skin. Not sure if they grow into the circles or are just there like that. Shallow enough so that a safety or clothing pin of some sort can peel it out with no pain or bleeding, deep enough so that hair doesn't grow out on its own.
Upper leg: Some hair follicles have 2 or 3 hairs. Like, if you imagine a cartesian plane and each point is a hair follicle, some of the points have two points beside the main one. I have not observed any of these grow out of my skin yet and there's no obvious way to get them out (the "circles" can be manipulated by sticking the pin into the circle) so I don't know if this will actually end up being an issue.
Upper arm: Two hairs growing out of the same spot. Observed both growing out of skin and under skin. If I attempt to pull on the hairs, one comes out easily.
Any thoughts or info?
