Default Good success with alternative valves?

In searching for replacement aquarium valves for my homemade non-balloon device I found a brass quick release on Amazon after no success at local shops. " Brass Double Shut-Off Quick Connect Tube Fitting, Barbed Coupler, 3/16" Tube ID, with Buna-N Seal " copy and paste that into the search for that site. It's just over $16, but with no slow leaks or forseeable quick need for replacement, I'm thrilled.

One suitable check valve is what is used for radio control aircraft, for diesel or glow engines, available for $7-10. Some models can be disassembled for cleaning. Check your local hobby store.
