It seems like one of the more popular techniques of manual restoration is the
squeeze/stretch method.
Personally, I haven't messed around with the manual methods all too much, but after looking at the diagrams for this technique, I was wondering if anyone has experimented with using the "squeeze" portion of this technique with any of the bi-directional tension devices?
What I'm thinking is that once the device is installed, if you were to put some kind of item around the skin tube to give a little squeeze it might add one more dimension of usefulness to the device.
I'm imagining pushing, tugging and squeezing all at the same time. I want to start experimenting with this idea myself, but I'm hoping that someone else has tried already and can give me some pointers... pros/cons.
