Forum Update coming

Hi,
Today I bought the upgrade to version 4.2 of vBulletin, and I'll get it installed in the next few days. None of your posts or account details are at risk. I will do a full backup of the forum so the worst case is we go back to this version if the upgrade process blows up.

Be prepared for random outages and don't be alarmed.

Some features may work differently, like "find my posts" may actually work.

Awesome! From my experience, vBulletin forums are rather easy (and not usually problematic) to update.

Looking at the footer of the page, it still appears the forum is running vBulletin Version 3.7.2

My wife keeps booking weekend excursions since our kids are both gone for 6 weeks. So every mid-week is a mad catch up. I need to wait until I have enough "slack" time to deal with a shit storm properly if the upgrade doesn't go right.

Awesome! Good luck with it! If possible, I'd try an upgrade on a sandboxed version of the site first - that's often saved me a lot of grief and downtime personally.

If you get stuck on something and Google doesn't seem to be getting you the right answers, I may be able to advise something. You can find my email in my profile But, I'm sure it'll all work seemless and fine.
