The LA times has written an opinion piece basically telling us to "man up" and just accept being circumcised. They also say that, "it's good enough for Jesus so it's good enough for us." And whats worse, this was written by a woman.
The comments section is incredible, I don't think I have ever seen such a high percentage of comments on the intacivst side. I would estimate that at least 90% of the comments are saying circumcision is wrong. I read on a different forum that this is the second time the LA times has published a piece about circumcision recently. So we should really hit them with a tidal wave of comments since we already have the momentum on our side. We should send such a clear and decisive message that the LA times will never publish something so irresponsible again. And if we can put pressure on the media to stop this kind of reporting, this will help becasue people won't continue to be brainwashed by pro-circ nonsense. Here is a link to the article. Please post some good comments and send a clear message to a major newspaper. http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/...0,386071.story |

The sad reality is that it doesn't matter what we say as long as her article gets hits. That's what they care about.

There is an option to rate the article from 1 to 5 stars. So far, 54 people have rated the article, and the average rating is 1.15 stars. For a newspaper to publish a 1 star article is pretty pathetic. Newspapers want to publish content that readers enjoy, not something that people think is totally horrible. Newspapers will publish what they think their readers want to see. If the LA Times gets the message that readers don't want to see an article full of pro-circ nonsense, then maybe they will think twice before doing it again. |

i was going to leave a comment and rate. but all the comments are gone. replaced by. "Comments are filtered for language and registration is required. The Times makes no guarantee of comments' factual accuracy. Readers may report inappropriate comments by clicking the Report Abuse link next to a comment. Here are the full legal terms you agree to by using this comment form." and the rating has also been removed. so much for journalistic integrity.
/edit now the comments are back

No, they're there, just select "add/view comments."

It seems to be working. You have to click on "add/view comments". But it is common for newspapers to lock comments after a period of several days, regardless of what the issue is. So if you want to make a comment you should try to do it soon. Also, it would be a good idea to give the article 1 star too.
If you have a gmail account, then you don't need to register. You just log in by clicking the google symbol, and then you create a name to post as. That is what I did. I posted as, "equal rights apply to males too". This crap pisses me off so much, how such a disgusting and irresponsible promotion of pedophilia and torture passes as journalism. |

Would you ever see a man telling circumcised women to "woman up"?, which is part of comment I left.

I couldn't even finish the article. This woman is just vile. I hope she never has sex again in her life.
