Default Re: Talking about circumcision with a therapist

I had no idea there was this attitude in central Europe. I am going to germany as an american to live and work so I am going straight into it. Guess what, I do fear showering and so on with intact men around, and I feel ashamed. That's why I want to get ffc asap. However i am not ashamed of myself because I didn't do it to myself. The doctors and mother should be ashamed

I was already planning to talk about this issue to everybody there who'll listen- men especially. If they're real men, with compassion and understanding, they'll give you respect and more. They'll give you a sense of acceptance and pity and respect, as your therapist should do. They'll also hopefully be able to understand americans more, since I'll present this as America's hidden trauma, if they're open enough.

I fear others reject me and my ideas, but then I reject them back as unworthy. Meanwhile there's restoration. It can't happen soon enough. Everything I realize that causes me grief just goes into the motivation tank. Grief work must go with body work

I respect you all. Like one woman said, we are the real champions or heroes. I think we are even more heroic than those who were left intact.

Keep tugging

As an American, you might not get as strong of a view. However for a native of central Europe it really is socially un-cool to be cut.

Look as far back as WW2, they used the "anatomical" test to determine if someone was a Jew. So yes, it is a branding system.

I think you will find sympathetic ears about it being America's trauma and shame. As well, if you are changing things so you are not cut, you most likely will find sympathetic ears.

Central Europeans are not stupid. Ask yourself, why would anyone cut/brand a baby? There's no logical reason or excuse. The only folks really pushing this for centuries in Europe are Jews. It's a branding system pure and simple. There's no therapeutic, medical or logical reason. ALL reasons are garbage. Americans however fell lock, stock and barrel for this nonsense.

However once again, doing something about this is highly empowering. They lost and will loose again and again as more men restore.
