Hi.

I found this forum about a year ago, but didn't sign up until today. I found this forum while I was studying about circumcision. I didn't know that circumcision had that bad of an effect on the penis.

I am a Korean-American. Since both countries circumcised, I didn't even think of circumcision as an abnormal thing. I'm glad I know now.

Pre-invasion by the US, korea was MGM-free. So it is a recent thing.

I heard about that. Koreans circumcise when they are about 12 years old (I think). I hear they get pressured into doing it. Atleast some Koreans gets to decide for themselves unlike us Americans.

I think Korea was suckered into routine circumcision of boys because of pressure by the U.S. military following the Korean War some 50 years ago. U.S. military doctors were circumcising Korean civilians for free.

In my opinion, circumcision should not be a function of the U.S. military. They did the same thing in the Phillipines.

Hello rwRLS, and welcome. Since you are circumcised, and realize the long term effects, and actually joined the site, I was wondering whether you had decided to restore your foreskin, before you yourself begin to feel the decrease in sensitivity.

I am 16 years old, so I still haven't felt a decrease in sensitivity (or maybe it's going away slowly so that I don't feel the difference).
I haven't really tried to restore yet, but I decided to start. I guess I have to do restore it manually until I can get a device.

Rather than saying your sensitivity might be going away slowly, it might be more accurate to say that it hasn't changed much (if at all) for as long as you can remember.

When I did some restoring in my early 20s, I thought the same in that my penis hadn't lost any. One of my motivations in the beginning was to ensure it wouldn't lose any feeling when I got older. I was surprised when the sensitivity greatly increased after a while. I hate to ruin it for you, but… it gets even better.
