Default a question

Guys, forgive me if this sounds like a dumb question.

Why would anybody do bi-directional now that we have air?

Isn't air more effective and less painful?

I balloon now and bi-directional is dangerous anyway, as well as painful. I know first hand. Never again.

There is one thing I would say. I know that feeling something down there, even if it's slightly painful, is somehow reassuring because sth is happening. But with my balloon it's not painful and I can do it all day.

Ballooning is the solution I have been dreaming about for two years and finally I use it!

Hi there. Just curious as to why you consider bidirectional to be dangerous. What has your experience been?

First of all, hello "als meus amics catalans e amiges catalanes".

I got a hydrocele. The veins/vessels/pathways down into your testicles are pushed and blocked by bi-directional stuff. It pushes the vessels against th plvic bone. My right testicle became as big as an orange and I almost lost it I think.

Por favor no usa nada con dos sentidos. Es un perigo a los testiculos.

Please dont use anything bidirectional.

Default Are bidirectional devices 'dangerous'?

Hola airpud, un saludo desde España.
Thanks for your reply, and for the info. I will do some more research on this topic. I once stopped using a dual tension device bc of pressure/pain, but this is something many users report. Nonetheless, out of hundreds using bidirectional devices, I have not heard of another case of hydrocele. Which is not to say that it might not be dangerous, but that the odds seem to be low based on other people's experiences. Glad to hear you came out w your testicles alright. From what I have read, many things can cause a hydrocele. How sure are you that it was the device? Is there any other restorer who can add their two cents on this topic?

I have used a bidirectional style of tugging for over 10 years with no problems. T-tape strips and an insert.

Thanks Greg. Bottom line is: everything (including the air methods) entails some risk, and from what I can gather, the risk in using bidirectional methods seems minimal. Thanks though, Airpud.
