Hello everyone,
I have literally just signed up to this forum and I am very upset about being circumcised. It has contributed to taking away a lot of things in my life and was the final straw in leading me to a nervous breakdown when I was 18. I have been abandoned by my parents who I tried to discuss the topic with. I have been abandoned by the medical 'professionals' who are meant to ensure my wellbeing under the NHS as a citizen of the UK. I have been badly damaged and a lot of opportunities have been lost as a result (university, careers, relationships both friendships and otherwise, other areas of my mental and physical health including becoming hugely overweight, feeling suicidal etc.) I am struggling on somehow and am now 24 years old and I am still very much alone in my life (no contact with any family who have decided to conveniently ignore the damage they have caused in lots of ways). I feel like my life is over - none of the NHS 'professionals' are listening to me or other support lines etc. Not really sure what to do. I have tried a bit of restoring previously but am not seeing really any results. Does it really work? Any nice feedback would be appreciated. Cheers. |

Sorry to hear about how difficult it is for you to cope with your life. I hope you can keep working through it and gain some balance.
Restoration works well. It is tedious, takes a long time, but it definitely works well. You may want to read through older posts on this forum. Lots of discussions about how well it works. Lost of disucssions about the mental as well as physical benefits. Even some discussions about trying to cope mentally. Best

Sorry to see your affected so deeply by your circumcision. It's a downright shame, and you have my sympathy.
Though, try hard not to let it take over your life. I don't know you, but I'm sure you're still a wonderful person - the condition of your genitals shouldn't dictate otherwise. Be passionate about it if you'd like, but don't let the damage carry over to your mentality. Let there only be one scar. I don't like to hear about how damaging a circumcision can be to one's mental and emotional self. I do not argue how deep the consequences of a barbaric practice can be. However, I encourage those who are hurt to fight to minimize those consequences in your mind. Don't belittle it, but accept things for how they are and move on. The only real way it can ruin your life is if you let it. |
