Thumbs up Nerve Regeneration!!

in my nursing career I hear a lot of interesting developments in the regeneration stem of medicine, and I've just heard about this where they are repairing damaged nerves. thought this would be of interest to a large group of us and I know it's not directly linked to Foregen/Medical reconstruction but potentially, it could be.

I think it's very encouraging news. The cynic in me expects foreskin-related therapeutic action to be last place among planned usage by medical execs/companies.

My bet is that the kind of device described there could be used to assist restoring for those who can afford it in coming generations. There will be more and more men in America who want their foreskins back.

American boys in high school now are closer to an even split between cut and uncut. I can only imagine how envious I would have been at 14 of any boy that could jack off comfortably without lotion. Let alone contemplate the difference in pleasure for the boy or prospective girl partner.

Ironically enough, I even as few give a care these days about foreskins in med-tech, i think it would be one of the easiest ways in which to experiment with tissue and nerve regeneration.

If circumcised men could get their foreskins back safely and quickly, they would pay just about anything for it. Plus there are 700 million customers. This could be one of the most profitable businesses in history. Right up there with circumcision and selling the foreskins to pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies.

That might be an argument they actually listen to. They get paid for cutting it and they get paid for restoring it. Maybe they will listen to the bottom line argument. I think that's the only thing some people can understand. I think it should be a free service to all those who have been mutilated- and they should have to apologize on behalf of their profession, down on their knees, begging for forgiveness- but I know they will charge as much as they can.

To be true to the educational aspect of your nursing career, you really should post a follow-up comment on how misleading you've been in both your post title, and your introductory statement of "...this, where they are repairing damaged nerves." I assume you read your own link, so where does it state "they" (whoever "they" are; certainly not the medical practitioners community) are repairing damaged nerves? The article content is simple enough: initial experimentation has begun in the earliest stages of one component of a technique. Nobody, no analog model, no rat, and certainly no human, thus far have had anything "repaired".

I know that good nurses are aware of their educational limitations and are quick to explain this to those who are under the common misunderstanding that nurses represent medicine, particularly when they attempt to interpret an article such as this for the lay understanding. I would hope you are one of the good nurses.
