Default erection problems

can i just ask a quick question,

has anyone struggled to maintain an erection during sex, due to the lack of sensitivity?

also have you tried lube to help it?

any opinions would be grateful

Yes, I used to have trouble keeping an erection because my penis would feel numbed at some point during sex. Woman on top positions were mostly impossible. And no, lubricant has the potential to make things worse by desensitizing even more a numb penis.

It's sometimes hard to believe how much sensitivity I got back and how strong my erections became after restoration. Woman on top is now as easy as it used to be during my twenties.

I AM in my 20s and I can't keep it up with a woman on top. I pretty much have to masturbate til I'm precumming and then I have to be on top, or from behind, with lots of vigorous thrusting to feel anything. It sucks. I have been restoring for about 6 months now and haven't experienced much change. I was a CI-1 when I started and now I'm still not even a CI-2 yet. I don't even have enough forskin to use a retainer yet. I am restoring with the DTR. I purchased a YourSkin cone from TLC but I don't have enough foreskin to use that. I have been using the ManHood when I'm not using my DTR. I can definitely feel the difference if I go a day without that, it's very rough feeling in the pants now. Still no huge change in sexual satisfaction. Here's hoping it gets better.

My experience is that sensitivity returned slowly. It took me maybe two to three years of tugging to start really feeling the difference. Having coverage all day long and retaining during the night once I could handle nightly erections were necessary steps to regain and maintain sensitivity.

To test if retaining makes a difference, I tried to sleep without "the hat" for a few weeks. What I noticed is that the glans started to get dry and stopped having its natural musky smell, and as a result sensitivity was dropping. I hope one day I'll have enough coverage so it springs back into coverage by itself.

The experience made me wonder if the musky, shiny layer over the glans has anything to do with improved sensitivity, maybe at a deeper, more chemical level than just the effect of dekeratinization.

Hello Razzle, I had those erection problems too. They did not start until I was in my early 50s and that's when I discovered restoration. As soon as I could keep some skin covering my glans its texture improved dramatically and so did sex. I used an O ring to help stay covered almost 24/7. I think that an important change, and mabe the MOST important change, is that the remnants of frenulum and inner mucosal skin (anything before your scar line) also benefit from being completely covered as nature intended. This area will soften and naturally moisturise and regain lost sensitivity. The best bit is that these are early gains and, for me at least, they improved my sex life and stopped the loss of an erection during intercourse.

Like you, I started restoring with a very tightly skinned penis. In the early days, using T tapes, I could not get the skin to do anything. It was very discouraging. However, within about six months the skin slackened a bit to at least make tugging more comfortable. However, I'm not going to color the truth. Restoring a foreskin can take a LONG time. The good news is the sexual benefits come quicker - no pun intended -- although I have found that is the physiological result of having a foreskin massaging the glans during sexual activity. Although I am not completely finished with my restoration I'm about 85 percent there, and my glans is always covered either on its own or using a retainer. It is now so sensitive that if I aim a shower spray at it I will ejaculate, with or without an erection. For me, the psychological benefits to having a foreskin are just as important as the physiological benefits. Simply put, I feel more masculine having a penis that looks like it's supposed to look. So I hope you keep at it. It can be a tough road. But you are at the beginning of an ultimately gratifying process. And you are lucky to get started with effective devices that did not exist when I began restoring.

HEY that has entered my thinker too. I noticed a bunch more sensitivity when the secretions have built-up too. Once they are washed away ( in a shower for instance) I loose sensation fast. I find my wife's vaginal moisture to be a good sensitivity maintainer too. But can't wear her all day. lol.
