I just checked the older thread again - and yes, these are the same sort of fissures as shown in Cuivie's photo. I don't consider it as a natural glans texture, because I see it as unnatural to have this part of my glans constantly uncovered (because I was circumcised). So you can accept yours for the way it is now, but keep in mind that it will improve eventually with coverage.

Part of me wonders if there is a certain range of natural glans textures, though I often think I should just accept that mine may just have some pretty rough circumcision damage.

Any of you intact guys care to comment on how long that glossy look stays after exposure?
restore79, no one should EVER be discouraged from joining. The more people speak up, the more gets known, the more people can realize that what most of you are going through is normal for the process of restoration.

I may not be restoring, but I'm curious as to what constitutes as "normal," what constitutes as "damage" as well. Just because a man was left intact doesn't mean others didn't decide to forcefully retract his foreskin as a child.

The more guys on here, intact and restoring, come talk and share, the more we can get to the bottom of what's "normal."

As for me, the deep groovy "cracks" you see in my picture stretch out and my glans become smooth while I have an erection. If if I pull back my foreskin and let my glans sit in the air for a while, the skin on it begins to wrinkle a bit, but those grooves don't show up.

It's when my glans is not engorged that those grooves come back, and I let my glans sit out while my penis is flaccid, it REALLY looks ugly with all kinds of wrinkles and grooves.

I found this out when I was trying to train my foreskin to stay back, when I was trying to "look" like everyone else. I just thought it looked so ugly, and it felt so uncomfortable to be exposed all the time. It was always relieving to put some spit on my glans and pull the skin forward, as it was always better to feel the moist warmness vs. my dry underwear.

PS - WHAT'S the name of the other "cracks" thread?

*EDIT*

NM! I just saw it!

Cuivië's glans definitiely much looks different from mine. It looks, however, as though that can go away with more de-keratinization.

I'm wondering if bjpennmmafan's cracks look the same...

Also, some of these cases need to be documented. "No damage" my ass.

Damn! I have the exact opposite of that. My glans look glossy and smooth when it's flaccid, but when erect the cracks are more well exposed like little skin tags bunched together. and somewhat like a razors had been taken to it. D:
I'm afraid to tamper with this structure. I don't want to lose sensitivity.

When I pull back my foreskin and let my glans sit in the air, it becomes dry and wrinkly, and so it becomes difficult, if not uncomfortable (because my glans is really sensitive), to take my foreskin and slip it over the glans.

At that time, I am not aroused, and so not producing any pre-cum, so it's much better for me if I use a bit of saliva on my glans to lube it up a bit and pull the skin forward.

But like, WHY would I want to pull my skin back and expose my glans like that? It's fuckin' uncomfortable! I avoid doing that if I can help it.

To take those pictures, I had to a little, because my camera sucks, and I had to take a few shots because the image kept coming out blurry...

Sogious, how long have you been restoring? Perhaps it goes away as time progresses and your glans de-keratinizes.

(Long-time restorers? Please jump in!)

Z726 thanks for sharing...good point...it's not so much that I want to accept them- I just don't want to have false hope that they will improve if they won't. I find it so curious that it's the back part of the top side of the glans where I have this problem. Certainly that's the first part to get skin over, so why wouldn't it be early on the heal list I wonder. It's good to know that you guys seem to think the sort of cracks seen in the other thread can heal.

Thanks too for the warm welcome Joseph.

By the way something I forgot to mention. The way my remaining mucosa interacts with the glossy parts of my glans vs the cracked part is also different. When my skin has been over the glans and is pulled back it will kind of tackily roll back from the glossy areas as though there is a decent amount of surface tension. The cracked area does not have this bond...generally it will pop right back at that point. Perhaps the slope of the glans plays a role here too.

As I mentioned my glans is generally covered, but I feel I have much to go on the road to being restored. Flaccid hang, underwear, and body type all affect this of course. When in bed sleeping I don't have the same amount of coverage- just the coronoa at best, so perhaps this slows me down as far as dekeratinization. Joseph, your glans and mucosa look so moist in the pic- I wonder if any restorers can claim similar? Mine is moist and tacky, but doesn't seem to be near yours.

I must admit all of this analyzation and management of expectations/hopes is what I find especially troublesome about the restoration process (and why I only choose to lurk for the most part). I expect I will be a manual tugger for life, and must just accept it all as part of it. Thanks for reading my thoughts- looking forward to everyone else's.

perhaps l could try it and see l also use that cream called Eucerin l think Ron mentioned it a while back when l first come on here we have it here in England l dont use the tugger with this as l heard that the cream can damage the silicone so l put this on my penis and my glans and it keeps both moist it is also good for cracked heels on feet.

I have been restoring for about a year, not including a year of skin 'treatments'. I always keep it covered, day and night. The only time it is uncovered is when I am cleaning it or looking at it for a minute. That all. I hope I find a non-harmful way of dealing with this. Any suggestions from all are welcome.
