After reading this post, and others regarding people's DIY fixes in this area, I was wondering if anyone (Ron perhaps?) thought of offering a similar device (a tapeless solution if possible) publicly? Though perhaps a little closer to the base of the penile shaft - less on the actual scrotum. There may even be something already. I think I've run across something like it but I can't recall where. Please direct me to it if you know of it. I admire the ingenuity of many here, but some lack sufficient time / space / materials to make their own. This appears to be a pretty common issue with the tugging devices. Not so much on a 'turkey neck' basis, but the issue of tension not being properly focused where it could be most effective. I use the TLC-X and sometimes I manually hold the base skin in place while it's on, which isn't feasible long-term and somewhat defeats the purpose of using a device. That said, I'm very pleased with the TLC-X. I received it about a month ago and I don't think I ever got the chance to thank Ron Low for fashioning it. I'm just beginning to gain enough slack to use the spring without too much difficulty (for fairly short periods until more growth occurs), which seems to sustain the perfect level of inner tension on its own due to the design. Lot of thought in these things, if not luck. I haven't stopped supplementing with manual methods, but I'd like to start using the TLC-X to its full potential now that I'm approaching its intended range, so I'm curious about existing and future options for basal shaft skin retention. |

Hi havesheathwilltravel, I just want to explain why I'm retaining around the scrotum and not around the shaft (I've tried around the shaft too). That's because the retention ring is larger around the scrotum, so it tends to interfere less with blood flow (it has a much larger surface to hold to) and it's easier to attach to the stretchers, therefore being more comfortable to wear. In any case, my main goal is to keep the scrotum skin where it should be during stretching, and the two locations for the ring do this job equally well.

I was concerned about this too (since I had an aggressive circumcision), but I found that after a while the skin gradually migrates back down the shaft reducing the "turkey neck" effect.

Thank you!
I might give those a try. The CAT II itself seems to have a very nice design, though I'm wary of using a plastic device as I've a very pronounced soft / hard size discrepency. Quote:
The question of comfort/safety probably depends almost entirely on what you're using as they're both sensitive areas. Last edited by havesheathwilltravel; August 17th, 2009 at 02:44. |

Catches on the penile base may be a bit easier to apply, but as you seem to have discovered with your ring, they won't effectively restrain skin through all stages of blood flow without a degree of interference in blood flow. I thought this was simply due to your ring, but it applies to almost anything. Successful shaft catches would require an overly complex kind of device, at best. Thus, I believe something like Dr. Cool's setup is pretty much the way to go, even though it requires more attention in application and cannot be worn quite as discretely. |

I've been tieing a shoelace around the base of the shaft, and that helps a fair amount. I might try the ring sold by the maker of CAT.

I wonder what my wife will say when she sees them nuts wrapped like a Xmas gift... Probably that I'm nuts, ha, ha! (I'll repost this one in my thread) |

Well, after using "the lace" for a few hours I'm sorry to report that it didn't work. It's hard to find a tension level that will not interfere with blood flow and avoid "ball skipping" at the same time. Besides, the tape "rolls" around itself and carves into the skin, making it uncomfortable to wear. So I'm back to the strap and silicone ring, which is not the simplest solution but at least has been effective up to now.

I've thought of a way to retain thats comfortable and effective.
Ive bought heavy duty stretch bands. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...R7YW35F0BH84FR All you need to do is put a hole in the middle and tie it around you. Ive found this works for me so far but i'm not sure how they'll hold up to the tension once a holes been put in them. |
