I heard information that said there is a circumcision that remove foreskin & shaftskin.
But,I didn't find the clear explanation about this circumcision through the internet. Please, give me the information about shaft skin removal in circumcision to extend my knowledge if you could. Thanks. ![]() ![]() ![]()

When they do it to babies, doctors (or nurses, obgyns, whatever) are often ignorant of how much skin to leave on the penis. Then as the penis grows, not as much skin grows with it as would grow in an intact foreskin.

The doctor can cut varying amounts of skin off, depending upon his feelings about what is appropriate, his skill, and the anatomy of the baby. Here is some reading material:

it's misleading that circumcision is called the removal of the foreskin as it usually does leave some foreskin and removes shaft skin

So,there is no type of circumcision that remove the shaft skin deliberately?

All circumcison is deliberate removal of the foreskin. Whether that includes shaft skin or not depends upon a number of factors. First you have to define what you mean by shaft skin, of course, which is not that easy when you consider the mobility of your penis skin.
However, when talking about RIC, I doubt that a doctor can fine tune it the way you seem to be considering. the penis is not fully developed, there are fat deposites in the pubic area obscuring the doctors understanding of the genital anatomy, and he is trying to be quick about it for a number of reasons. My guess is the average doctor does not put much thought into it along these lines. Cut what looks like the right amount off, then move on. Regards,

My understanding is most countries do not RIC, and circumcision is rare.
