How many times are we going to have to read the same old medical myths and lies to make parents feel good about a decision made on non-medical grounds.

While there is some very shallow thinking in the responses, there are many excellent ones. I liked the reference to the Aesop Fable about the Fox Who Lost His Tail. It is used to refer to the pro-circ circumcised medical profession - "If you had not lost your own own tail, my friend, you would not be giving us this advice.”

Deciding to skip a circumcision can be a responsible choice

"Skip", as if it is the usual, expected, normal thing to do!!! It should never EVEN be considered. When will parents ever learn that having someone mutilate your son's penis is a sadistic, aberrant, perverted thing to do.

So can opting for one

A lie, this is the worst possible choice parents can make
