Had a checkup to day and after the checkup i asked my doctor if he had any cream that would help my skin stretch more easy. He knows I'm restoring and as he said that he thinks what I'm doing is great. I told him that i have more sensitivity and he says that things like this is what makes the sex life better and if having skin makes me more happy then I'm doing the right thing. So i got a cream called "Dermovat" I must use it for 1 month and this should help relax the skin :-) I just feel so happy having a doctor like that. Wish you guys out there could have a doctor like mine.

Dude you are so lucky ! My urologist understands the MGM and says it is ok to feel that way as there are alot of men that feel the same way. My other doctors as mentioned on my thread dont understand and think im crazy for even thinking about it (since it was done to me as a baby etc) Hell it makes me want to fly to your state to see your doctor instead of mine !

Dermovate is a brand name for the drug clobetasol. It is a topical corticosteroid used to treat eczema, inflammatory skin conditions, and psoriasis.
Why benefits did the doctor say this would bring? |

I've been using clobetasol propionate for a skin condition and the box says not to apply to the face, underarms, or groin.
Is that the same thing, or does this have additional ingredients that are the reason for that warning? One side effect is the thinning of the skin. |

Makes you wonder if there are restorers who make amazing progress none of us can come close to... are they on 'roids?
Unlike with body building, is there perhaps no shame in pursuing this type of body modification with the help of steroids? And what are the risks? |

They use the cream to treat guys with tight foreskin, it makes the skin relax more. So I'm going to use it for 4 weeks. Then i must let the skin rest from the cream.

It says that one must be careful and not over do it. He told me that they use this cream for guys with tight foreskin. So it should help.

It is a bit of a myth that there are no drugs which increase the rate of skin expansion. I know of at least two, not counting this Dermovate, which is new to me. I would guess the thinning of the skin would make the cells more sensitive to the tension we subject it to. Thinner skin would make the tension force per cell higher, wouldn't you think? Just be sure you let us know what you experience while using it. I wouldn't expect miracles, however. From my own experiments, the difference in growth rate is a comparison between very slow and very very slow when growing skin. Unfortunately.

It sounds like you and your doctor do not really understand how restoration works. It is not stretching the skin. It is growing additional skin.
You apply tension to the skin. Yes, the skin stretches temporarily, but that is not the goal. The skin will simply retract after time with no more tension. The tension creates conditions (for lack of a better word) that induce more rapid cell division than normal. Your body essentially senses that the skin is too tight, and grows additional cells in order to make the skin longer, so it will have more slack. Additional cells = longer foreskin. Applying a cream that "relaxes" the skin could be counter to what you want to do, grow more skin. It could have consequences in weakening the skin and making it more prone to tears and injuries. If you and your doctor have already thought this through, great. But it sounds like you, and more importantly your doctor have not. Please bring this up and the concerns I mentioned. Make sure that these have been considered. My experience is doctors are clueless and have no where to get information. You, almost certainly, know a lot more about restoring than your doctor...but if you give him incorrect or incomplete information, he will give you the wrong advice. Regards

Greg. My doctor is not stupid. He knows I'm stretching the skin. This is something I'm going to use for 4 weeks, not more than that. I don't expect that this is what i need to grow skin faster than everybody else, but if it doesn't work so what ??? And If it helps to stretch the skin a bit extra the 4 weeks I'm trying it then "great". I just don't see any harm in trying this.
He told me that this is the cream they use when a guy has problems with tight foreskin. And there are loads of guys over here with that problem. So as he said no harm in trying this. But 4 weeks and then i must stop. I know what I'm doing by stretching the skin and how it works. But I think that telling me that me and my doctor don't' understand how restoration works is going a bit far. Lots of guys wondering if using creams helps or not, and I'm thinking that OK if nothing happens these 4 weeks so what ???!! I know how scares grow (I have LOTS after removing 14 tumors) all over my body. Some scares look good others not so good. Some grow more skin faster than others. What I'm trying to say is that there is no harm in trying. If i loose a month restoring i loose a month. Lost my skin when i was 18, but have more skin now after 4 months of restoring so i must be doing something right Quote:
