Hi guys. Just a quick question...

Does anyone else have what looks like a pair of lips on their urinary meatus?
Unfortunately I haven't got a photo yet (camera playing up) but I'll try to describe it...

It appears like I have 2 holes, one above the other, with what looks like a pair of lips between. (prob. quite hard to imagine, but I will post a photo when I work my camera out). Also, when I urinate, the urine usually comes out in two streams (thus the two holes), one straight (the "bottom" hole) and the other stream to the right ("the top hole"). Does this make any sense, or can anyone shed any light on what the problem could be?

I nearly asked my GP when I had urethritis recently, but chickened out at the last minute.

To have "lips", or a small flap of tissue at the meatus is very common, but to have 2 actual urinary openings warrants having a physician check things out. Hypospadia is the condition where the urinary tract meatus is located in an area other than the tip of the glans but that doesn't seem to be what you are describing. Could the flap of tissue be fused somehow, creating two apparent openings?

Of course nobody here is a physician, and any physician would want to examine you in person before making any comment or diagnosis. So....your next step is clear

I have know several guys who have what you have described, Alex. Probably best to have your GP or a Urologist check it out. From what I understand, it's usually not problematic, unless the two streams are so spread that it makes things messy when you urinate. But it is always best to have things checked.

No, the "flap" or lips as I like to call them, can be separated, and are by no means conjoined. By mentioning the 2 holes, I was trying to describe what it looked like, not the fact that I have 2 separate urinary openings. I am pretty sure hypospadias is not the cause. I must ask my mother if she has any idea, as I recall her telling me many years ago that I had an abcess or similar on my glans... Maybe this is the end result?

Anyway, thanks for your input. I will attempt to get my camera working with the PC and try to post a photo.

Hahahaha! believe it or not, that pic is almost exactly the same as I have, except my meatus appears as a hole above and another below!!!

I have peed 2 streams for several years, long before beginning restoration. No problem, except messy in trying to hit the toilet. If really bad, sit down. I think it happen more often when I am semi hard. I also am developing lips. I think this may be from using a DTR and screwing down pretty hard on the head and mashing the lips on my piss hole.

Yeah, I've got that too, though not as pronounced and it's mostly on one side, closer to the bottom of my penis. When I have an erection it enlarges along with the rest of the glans, and pushes the hole open a bit. Urination is normal except right after sex, when my glans is still partially erect and the stream shoots off to the left at an odd angle.

This has been documented for quite a while. Even back in the 19th century, that bastard John Harvey Kellogg claimed that contraction of the meatus was a harmful effect of infant circumcision (see Plain facts for old and young : embracing the natural history and hygiene of organic life, chapter 3, page 107).

OK. Got my camera working finally! I have taken a pic which probably illustrates my question better than the drawing (I'm crap at art!)

So here goes... The quality isn't the best, but it should be clear enough to make out.

Anyone have any ideas now?

Could be what I was describing, or it could be natural. I've seen pictures of intact penises which have a meatus like this. Don't worry about it, though if it's causing problems talk to your urologist.
