Hi,
I like this from your sig: "Why are we calling it restoring if I still don't have a foreskin?" I suppose it's like if the Mona Lisa got burned up in a massive fire at the Louvre. Some expert would be charged with fixing up the painting to the extent possible. Eventually it would be "restored" and the world would be happy to have it, but it wouldn't quite be a DaVinci. -Ron |

I have been sort of restoring for 8 months... but only seriously for 3 months. I've seen great progress, although things seem to be stagnating. This past month was a write off because I came down with a bad case of mono, but I'm going to start up again ASAP. Full coverage seems so far away... ![]() |

I learned about circumcision as a child, but I believed it to be beneficial at the time. I learned the truth at the age of 18, and I have been restoring for a year now. The benefits have been extraordinary.

QUESTION FOR RON: You mentioned in one of the above posts that you are giving an upcoming speech in Berkeley. After you give it, would you consider making the text of your speech available to the forum, if there is one/if that is possible? I, for one, would be interested to read it, and I assume many others would, too. Many thanks.
{mod: I'm not done preparing my slides yet. The slides will be online here, along with video, baring technical snafus.} |

Maybe you could include a video? I don't know if that would be possible, though.

48. I've been pissed since I was 12 and figured out what I was lacking. I started restoring three years ago. I managed full flaccid coverage around 24 months. Sporadically working on a bit more ...

So I've heard on this forum and elsewhere that the process is faster for younger restorers. Is this true and if so, does anyone know the science behind it?

I do question this though, as people can get fat at the same rate whether they are young or old, and the skin stretches just the same. In fact, as the metabolism slows down, it is probably easier to gain weight when you are older... ad you don't see skin growth holding back beer bellies. hahah |

Restorers are all ages, but I think many on this forum are under 30 and quite a few under 20.
The Internet seems to have speeded up getting the truth about circumcision spread around... and that if you're circumcised, you can actually restore your foreskin. To most young guys, this is very good news. To me, the most impressive restoration success was the progress reports given by an Arizona teenager who began FR when he was 15. He ended those reports at the beginning of his senior year in high school, because he was done restoring. You could tell by reading what he wrote that he was determined and even driven to restore his foreskin. He had a few minor setbacks along the way, but never lost sight of his goal. He was always focused and unrelenting in his restoration effort, so it was no surprise when he reached his goal. The only surprise was I think he got there almost a year ahead of schedule. He must have done a good job, because one of the intact kids at school thought that he had never been circumcised. The kid that said that had obviously never seen him freshman year before he started restoring, he said. Stories like that are an inspiration to all of us. |

I think the drive and determination of the person are probably the most important attributes for success in restoring. Those who are driven seem to do well, and those that take breaks and stop restoring for a while seem to take much longer. Duh. So, stay motivated and keep on tugging! I started restoring at 52.
