I think that America governments are controlled by circumfetish people.
That is why America is pushing circumcision to the world.
But,it is the shame for China,however,China doctors may also be promoting circumcision to be as modern as America.
I think that China people are losing their morality now like what was happened to America at the beginning of 20th century because of circumcision.
I'm curious about why high educated or genius people like Americans could accept genital mutilation as the norm without thinking of its morality or lie probability.
Maybe,it is a kind of unbalanced section of science.

Yunus the answer to your question about why America is so obsessed is simple people have been manipulated so much for around 100 years people became numb to what common sense tells them to do.

Europe has rejected lots of American public health initiatives like circumcision and water fluoridation. It was also ready to reject the untested and potentially deadly swine flu (H1N1) vaccine, but it became moot when the big pandemic fizzled without a whimper.

South Korea wasn't the only country to adopt circumcision under pressure from the U.S.; the Phillipines also did. I think China is a lot smarter than that, but we'll see. After all, China is ten times smarter than the U.S. economically, when it comes to manipulating "Free Trade" to serve their interests, and artificially keeping their currency value low. China is supposedly having rough economic times lately; it's economy is only growing at what, ten percent a year?

I really liked that Chinese newspaper "news" story that was full of pro-circ propaganda: 49% of Chinese men's foreskins are "too long".

Too long for what? And who gets to decide exactly how long is too long? And how long is too long -- an overhang more than an inch?

And circumcision is almost never required to treat phimosis. There is a guy on the Internet with a tight foreskin that can't be retracted, and the small opening in his foreskin doesn't line up with his pee hole...it's not even close. But he is able to pee and ejaculate, as he shows in the videos. He is also able to wash under his foreskin, even though he can't pull it back. In other words, he is a living example of what a crock circumcision is as a treatment for phimosis.
