Arrow DTR Installation Method to Reduce Penile Compression & Increase Hang and Comfort.

Hi,
Yesterday I posted this method and pictorial guide inside a long, old (2008) thread here and it helped the member who was having the problem yesterday. I just decided to post this with its own heading in a new thread so more guys will see it and benefit from it. This is for DTR users.

Many of us DTR users start out with the rod sticking straight out from our body and poking out against our pants so it's hard to go out in public without people noticing. Plus we often have the pusher rod seemingly pressing our penis so far into our bodies that it hurts after a while and just feels and looks "wrong". And we also start out with a rather thick wad of skin on the bell which becomes uncomfortable trapped under the gripper.

My installation method will:
  1. give you a longer "hang" so the rod does not poke your pants,
  2. move the DTR further from your body so the penile compression is reduced or gone, and
  3. result in a much thinner skin tube on the DTR's bell for better comfort and IMHO better tension.
I'm uploading 2 pics for you, and I added a video later.
  • One pic is a side by side comparison photo of my DTR on my dick using the "standard" installation method versus using my own installation method. Both photos were shot on the same day a few minutes apart. Notice how much longer my "hang" is, so the rod won't poke against my pants. Notice how much less penile compression there must be -- and I'm referring to the internal penile structure including corpus cavernosum, urethra, etc. and imagine the comfort of that. Lastly, you can't notice how much thinner the skin on the bell is from the photo, you will have to experience that yourself.
  • The other pic is a ".pdf" file so you'll need to have the free Adobe Reader on your PC or Mac (adobe.com). This file is the pictorial photo guide telling and showing how to do this method. It's on a single 8.5x11 sheet that you can print if you want to. On a different restoration site where I published this in April, most (but not all) of the guys who tried it were successful at doing it, and all of those said it solved problems they were having. That's why I want to spread the word and help more guys than I have so far. If you've already seen my guide on RestoringForeskin.org you don't need to view these, as they have not changed for this posting.
  • I edited this original post on Dec 19, 2010 to add a short 65 second silent video demo as promised. It's cell phone quality . No verbal instructions in this version; later for that. Follow along in the guide.
Please let me know how this works out for you. (Really well, I hope.)
Thanks.
RobertW

Thanks for advancing restoration technology. It would appear these techniques could apply equally to the CAT II and TLC-X.

Good point Ron. I think you're probably correct that this process could be applied to any bi-directional device. Thanks for thinking of that and posting it. I'm looking forward to feedback from some members as to how it's working for them, and now also with which device(s).

I'll give this a whirl and report back I think.

Always suffered with that horrific "Pinching" sensation with the skin under the gripper so if this reduces or removes this I will be most pleased

Also, I don't think I have enough skin yet to do this properly... *sigh*
