I am a middle-aged man who was circumsised at birth. Apprarently, not that tightly since there is some play in the foreskin where the cut was made (rollable/wrinkled collar effect approaching the glans). I am also new to Foreskin Restoration, even though I have regretted the fact that I am circumsized since college. My room mate was a pre-med student who was uncircumsised and clearly explained to me what I was missing.
In considering foreskin restoration devices, I am curious to know how you picked the device that you are using. In considering a device for myself, I am very concerned about keeping the device on (without it falling-off) since I mostly wear boxer shorts to work everyday, and occassionally boxer briefs. I am also concerned that the Tugger may come popping-off since it is a tapeless device. Please help me understand how this situation could be avoided. Urination appears to be solved with the Tugger. I have been looking at the PUD device (metal device for $135) and the 4Restore.com device, and was curious if anyone has used these and what the results were. The 4Restore device seemed to get rave reviews on AskMen.com. I am curious what others have experienced with these devices. Also, what is urination like with these devices? Can you sleep in any of these devices (Tugger, PUD, 4-Restore)? Thanks for your help. I look forward to your advice. |

Hi and welcome. We are all different and it does take some experimentation. At times it can be very frustrating. I used tape to start with and bought (the expensive) Foreskin Natural Restorer. It did not work well for me because I had so little skin. It was heavy and did not stay taped on as per instructions. I gave up using it and just used medical adhesive tape to hold the shaft skin over the glans, then used the restorer from time to time. However, being stainless steel it is of high quality and would last through many restorations. I am now considering getting a lighter plastic device that uses rubber bands and does not require long tensioning tapes. After three years I am half way towards my goal. Never use devices at night because of erections. You may find this table useful to get some idea of what is available: http://www.x-mail.net/restore/compare.htm

Hello Drw6895,
Welcome to the site. If you are planning to use a TLC tugger, the device can be connected by a loose shoe lace to a safety pin in your underwear. Should the device fall off, the lace will safely keep it, hanging no further than the knee, under your pants, until you have access to privacy. It is hard to tell which method to use. All of them work, but the most important factor is to find a method which fits easily in your lifestyle, since restoration is a lengthy process. Many restorers alternate between different methods, and try different methods until they find the most convenient one. Good luck in your endeavors. Best regards, freddys. |

If it was me I would rule out those tape methods because I think you're less likely to skip a day if you know you don't have to hassle with tape residue.
The weights that work with the TLC Tugger/TLC-X go OUTSIDE the skin tube for safety. With the PUD you need to be very careful not to knock against the corner of a desk or whatever because the skin gets pinched between the weight and the immovable object. |

I've tried just about everything over the years.
currently I use the TLC with my own weights in various sizes. Sometimes I mix it up and use the DTR for a different feel. I find both easy to put on and take off for bathroom breaks. Regarding PUD and other pee-through options, way too messy for me. |

Hi DRW and welcome,
The two devices you mention I haven't tried. Most people seem to use DTR, CAT II, or TLC devices. I have tried all three, my current favourite is the DTR. If the DTR has a drawback then I guess it is that with elastic tension it is a little cumbersome. But I can assure you that all three devices are well made and sold by men with a commitment to customer service. So you would be safe if you chose something from among those three. As for sleeping with I device then that is not for me, for one thing you need alot of skin for that. Might be better to retain overnight though, that works well for me. Anyway good luck and happy tugging DaveW |

Ease of use. Options options options.
I was also intested in the cat, but the idea of adjusted tension variably based on erect status was a huge factor in my decision. I wear this thing all the time. As a residential plumber, discretion was a must and quick off on during on site urination breaks. Dtr meets and exceeds all these prerequisites. I mean no direspect, but the tlc from internet pictures doesnt display the level of craftsmanship than the dtr. Im sure in use it would likely perform fine. |

I've got nothing bad to say about the DTR. It is well crafted.
TLC products are carefully engineered not for aesthetics, but for function. Through appropriate selection of strong materials we are able to offer the narrowest tapered shape available in a soft food-grade silicone, in a very compact design sturdy enough to include a full-year warranty. Every device is custom fitted to your girth and your amount of slack. The swappable Pushers of the TLC-X let you lengthen the overall device to keep up with your skin gains. This lets you easily tug with the same part of you skin tube acting as the induced roll-over point while wearing the device, until you're done restoring. It's a very flexible system allowing strapless tension with fixed displacement of Pusher, or rubber band and/or spring tension, and these can be combined with strap tension, and there is also a compact integrated weighted option (TLC Hangers) available, which is my favorite. The comfortable TLC Your-Skin retaining cone can be used by itself to help your skin stay nicely puckered during your non-tugging hours. We strive for continuous improvement including the recent innovation we call SuperGrip technology which makes the silicone surface more grippy and also even more durable and easy to clean. All TLC products include a three-months no-questions-asked refund option and our right-size guaranty, and we offer the unsurpassed email, phone, and User Group support that restorers deserve.
