I think the article raises some good points as well, and if you look at the legal climate in the areas of divorce, child custody, domestic violence/rape, and child molestation you will find that in virtually all cases the man is presumed guilty irregardless of any and all evidence that says otherwise.
I did some digging and reading in these areas, and it truly is very disturbing how due process and equal protection under the law is thrown out the window the instant allegations are made of domestic violence, rape, and molestation. It seems now that during divorce proceedings it is often standard practice for the woman to allege domestic violence or child abuse in order to get a restraining order against the man, which is the quickest way of getting him out of the house and getting full custody of the kids. Dropping your kid off a daycare with a diaper rash? The next thing you know you're being put in handcuffs for sexual abuse. Like Someone Mundane said, this could happen to anyone you know and it is unbelievable how easy it is for it to happen to any of us. Convictions are not needed, all it takes is one public allegation and you are guilty in the eyes of the courts, police, media, and the public. During an argument the woman can hit you with fists or objects, throw things at you, throw all your belongings out in the yard, destroy your property, and yet something as simple as pushing her away will bring the law down on your head like a ton of bricks. Attempting to charge her with domestic violence will do no good, because of the assumption that because you are a man, you must have done something to deserve this kind of treatment. Pretty dangerous world we live in, sometimes makes lifelong bachelorhood look pretty appealing. Probably one of the most illustrative of cases is the one involving the Duke University lacrosse team, where 4 team members were falsely accused of rape by a known prostitute. I'm sure you guys remember this one, the DA withheld DNA evidence exonerating the accused and did everything he could to railroad them into prison including trying the case in the media because he was looking for personal political gain. Take note of the rush to judgment that happened during the case by everyone from the police, media, public, and even most of the Duke faculty. You're a man, someone accuses you of rape, you're guilty. End of story. You don't even have to be directly involved, the lacrosse team's coach was fired long before the case was even close to being settled. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% for full equality, in fact I think that's the only way a society should be. However, swinging the pendulum in the other direction and discriminating against the historically discriminating group doesn't produce equality. It's like this: before affirmative action? "We can't give you the job because you're black." After affirmative action? "We can't give you the job because you're white." How does this produce equality? |

Indeed, Them Boots. You raise some excellent points. I'm going to repeat what I said earlier, because I think it's so important it bears repeating.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who can see this, what's going on in the world today, though I guess some others on this board can, as well. The article that the OP linked to was quite long—more like a pamphlet or short book than just an article, really. So I don't blame anyone who didn't take the time to read the whole thing. In there, though, was a portion that outlined why most of the examples that are ever-touted to supposedly show that there is still male-favoring inequality going on, (such as the alleged “wage gap” where women supposedly earn less money than men for the same work), are either distortions, exaggerations, or outright fabrications. Now, I'm not a statistician, I've never conducted a poll on salaries of various socio-economic groups. So I don't know if what the article is stating is true. I just know that's what it said. As for my own anecdotal evidence, from what I observe everything in this modern western world is built to favor women. And just by the way, that isn't because women are taking over everything and making everything to their advantage. It's because the people who long ago took over everything simply want to use this as a strategy against the masses of mankind. They're not doing it out of the goodness of their heart to help women. Don't worry, once the male sex is all but destroyed, the “feminist paradise” will come crashing right down as the very people (both men and women) who funded and engineered it suddenly stop supporting them (the women) and move into full-on attack mode against them. It's not that “men are stupid”, though many are. So are many women. It's more that people are so easily manipulated. To turn a much-overused phrase, they're sheep. They're such sheep. They're alpha sheep. They aren't just passively enslaved by this groupthink hive mind, they actively love being mindless drones! They're fiercely proud of their inability to think for themselves, it's the greatest honor to them. Sometimes I wonder if humans are really evolved from mammals. Seems more like we might come from bees or ants. I wonder how many people can actually still read this and understand that this is a bad thing. Or how many would read this and say, “Yup, that's exactly how things are and thank god they're that way, God Bless America!”. Such people are probably also the least likely to really understand the first thing about either God or America. I mean, I don't know. We live in a crumbling world at the end of an age. Who could truly look around the world today and doubt that this is true? Like Byzantium, like Rome, like all the other civilizations that fell before us. Forget the promise of technology, of some dreamt-of “technological singularity”, of gleaming chrome cities with their shining towers and flying cars and rocket ships. No, we're heading into a new dark age, if anything, I fear. We live in a world today where people hunger for the blood of one another, like animals. Instead of treating people with mental illnesses and addictions, we imprison them and condemn them to unspeakable fates. Death and destruction are rampant, and what do we do? Oh yes, we place the trees and the animals and the rocks above our own children in importance. There is no end to this sick madness. I'm still not sure, I'm trying to make up my mind. Are we humans mostly just idiots, so easily manipulated by the truly evil individuals lording over us like locusts, like bloated demons on their black thrones of skulls? Or are we just inherently bad, and those bastards at the top are simply the worst of us? In other words, are we more evil or more stupid? |

Not to beat a dead horse, but I'd really like to hear someone's opinions on my thoughts on this matter. I'd definitely appreciate it!

I personally believe people ARE inherently evil and that there is NO difference between us and the "animals" we claim to be better than, hell animals are kinder than a lot of us. One of my favourite quotes is "...man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!" which is very true when you think about it. Feminism is a good idea and things have improved for women a lot in recent years, but it's time they got off the soapbox and got on with their lives again. I just wish people would accept the fact that NEITHER sex is better than the other. |

There are so many presumptions in the U.S. There is the presumption that there is still a "glass ceiling" when it comes to equal pay for women. But both Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina earned more money than their male predecessors I think. The head of Pepsi-FritoLay is a woman making millions while equally credentialed men are unemployed or fighting for their careers.
Something like 60% of all college freshmen are now women. Most students entering law school now are female. The shoe is on the other foot now. Everyone familiar with divorce court knows that the wife is generally granted everything, especially if kids are involved, except in rare cases. The presumption is, women are more important to the family. Another phenomenon is the "Oprahization" of American life, where feelings and emotional reactions are considered equally important to, if not more important than, facts and reality. The presumption here is that American men are cold, calculating, unemotional, self-centered sex fiends. But when men are under emotional stress, they are belittled and mocked as wimps and pussies, because they are supposed to "man up" to even crushing pyschological blows. They are regarded as superhuman, even though most are not. Most men live lives of quiet desperation, as someone previously noted. There are strict rules for the genders in the U.S. that just don't exist in Europe. I'm not saying American society is a sick society, but there do seem to be some noticeable things wrong with it. Like why our murder rate is 10,000 times higher than the murder rate in Japan. Or why we have a near monopoly on serial killers (most or nearly all of whom have been circumcised, as you probably know). One final question: why is the United States the only Western country that still practices routine infant circumcision on a reduced but still big scale? Why does the U.S. have no regard for the civil rights of baby boys? Why does it brag about the number of circumcised males in the population? What on earth is wrong? |

Because we're the only modern, western country that has a for profit health care system. What makes money is what's necessary. It's not just RIC. It's many things.
Neo natal care or plainly treating pregnancy like a disease needing a hospital rather than a natural human occurrence Ceasarian sections & overmedicating the birth mother during delivery Overuse of antibiotics The list goes on. |

A sex crime against a man is a sex crime against women too.
Women complain about bad treatment by men, but fail to realize the origins of the bad treatment. Feminists should be anti-MGM EVEN BEFORE anything else, if at all they are serious about their cause in any real way. And how ironic life is. Irony is everywhere. Annie Lennox wrote a song "Sex Crime". She may or may not be missing the real sex crimes. I can't find evidence she is pro-foreskin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexcrim...Eighty-Four%29 http://forum.annielennox.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=555 Is she a perpetrator of sex crimes? In this age - Kali Yug, I'd say more than likely. |
