Hi everyone.
I had a few questions about restoring. My boyfriend has restored before but it has been a while. I was not with him while he was doing this so i have no idea about any of this really. I have been reading about restoring for a few days and think that its a good idea he should do it again. But i was just wondering... what are the negative and positive affects of it, and how does this affect the girl? Girls, do you enjoy having your partner restored? are there any pros and cons for the girls? Thanks! |

Thanks for supporting your boyfriend. From what I have read there is less friction and less need for artificial lubrication with a foreskin. Restored or natural more skin to glide as nature intended leaves both partners less chafed and thereby intercourse is better for both.
God did a very good job at designing the act........restored foreskin gets as close as you can get to being intact. Colorado |

Hi,
You won't get many female responses, but about a third of our members are gay so they might have relevant experience. One change that not everyone welcomes is a mild sweet musky aroma. It's pretty much the same way freshly washed female genitals smell as it's due to some of the same beneficial bacteria, which thrive once the the mucosal glans surface is protected by the skin tube from over drying. Another thing that takes some getting used to is his new responsiveness. He'll tend to use gentler penetration in intercourse, and he'll need gentler manual stimulation that focuses more on rolling the skin tube up and down and much less on friction. If you find he climaxes quicker than you'd like after restoring, I say get over it and have him lick and rub you until he's ready for more. It's not rude to do or request a little or wash-up before continuing. He can in time learn to last like he did before. In the meantime, have a playful attitude. As a last resort or for a change of pace, he can use some numbing creme inside a condom. And he can always just stop restoring and let the skin stop covering the glans if he decides he doesn't want to be restored. -Ron |

When it comes to difference in sexual mechanics, check this site out:
http://www.sexasnatureintendedit.com/ Its also apparently a book, but the site is free and full of useful information. In addition, it will make him feel whole again (or at least it does for a lot of us) which, for me, has had the added benefit of help to ease some of the numerous psychological damages done by the procedure: http://www.cirp.org/library/psych/ I'll post more info if I can think of it after class! BTW Kudos to you for your support!

It true, the incidence of yeast infections is slightly higher overall, but only because some people don't keep up with their hygiene. Make sure he takes regular showers and all should be well.
On a side note, it is possible for men to get yeast infections as well, perhaps that will make sure he is motivated to clean properly. I can honestly say though, that I have occasionally had to go 3 or 4 days without a decent shower and no problems.

It's possible for women to pass yeast infections to men during intercourse. They can get it back, too, so treating it is important for both partners to avoid passing the infection back and forth. It can develop either on the penis or in the vagina, but the latter is more common.
