Hi all
A new campaign has been started on GetUp! to support the banning of non-therapeutic infant circumcision in Australia. Please vote by visiting http://getup.org.au, and then click on 'suggestions', search for 'circumcision' and once you have found the campaign click on the 'vote' button. Voting takes only a few moments. Please also leave a comment if you have time, but don't forget to vote! Thanks for your support. |

79 Supporters. Is this an effort that's going to have any effect?

It's the votes that count, not just the number of supporters. Although there is obviously relationship between the two. A campaign on abortion, which shares some similarities on issues of health, choice and human rights, was taken on by GetUp after 938 votes. The circ campaign is on 198 votes after only one week, so I think it's plausible that we can get this considered. At the very least, it is another means to get exposure to the issue. Thanks for your interest in this.
